Momie Lee Harrell, 70, of Tallahassee, FL, passed away June 29, 2018 at Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee. She was born in Tallahassee, FL, May 23, 1948 to Santa Toney Harrell and Emma Elizabeth Corley Harrell.

She was born with Downs Syndrome and admitted to Sunland Training Center in Gainesville at an early age. She later was transferred to Marianna for a short while and then transferred to Tallahassee 22 years ago. She lived at Tallahassee Development Center for the Disabled until passing.

She is survived by a sister, Sarah Hackett Ewing (Jim) of Medart; and brothers Carl Harrell (Joan) of Welaka and Fletcher Harrell of Crawfordville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Santa Toney and Emma Elizabeth Corley Harrell; brothers, Pasco, Ellis, Daniel Moses, Enoch Harrell, A.L. and Tommy Vickers; sisters Mildred Haughton, Eva Meryl Meagan, Mary Mills, Dorothy Louge, Pansy Gilbert and Patricia Ann Plympton.

She was dearly loved by her parents, family, and her extended family at TDC, staff and residents. Momie had a smile on her face that would melt your heart even though she was never able to talk, she was truly a very special person.

Visitation was held Monday, July 2, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., and funeral services at 11 a.m. at Bevis Funeral Home, Harvey Young Chapel in Crawfordville, FL with burial to follow at Sanborn Cemetery.
