William "Bill" Robert Regal Sr., 81, of Wellington, formerly of Lodi, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, after a year-long illness.
He was born June 4, 1931, in Elyria to the late Theodore and Fern (nee Horton) Regal.
William grew up on a farm in Huntington and also had a home in Lodi for many years. He had lived in Wellington for the last three years.

He enjoyed spending time with his friends, whether the Wellington McDonald's "coffee club" or a group of friends in Lodi at a local diner. Bill enjoyed wood working and built picnic tables and wishing wells for his family.

He is also survived by his children, William Jr. (Sandee) Regal of Wellington, Chris Smith of Wellington, Ted (Teresa) Regal of Sullivan, and Susan Regal of Wellington; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; and siblings Jim (Marilyn) Regal of Wellington, Phillip Regal of Mt. Vernon, Marilyn (Dick) Foster of Florida, and Cheryl (Kenny) Gallatin of Ashland.
William was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Riddle; and son-in-law, Don Smith.
