Ralph P. Abruzzese, beloved husband for 65 years of Virginia (Trombino) Abruzzese, of N. Capalbo Dr., Bradford, passed away at The Westerly Hospital on Saturday, March 10, 2018.
Born in Westerly, he was a son of the late Raffale and Finita Abruzzese.
Ralph was a chemical machine operator for Pfizer for many years and a communicant and longtime usher at St. Vincent de Paul Church. A US Army Veteran of the Korean War, he was also a member of the Amancio Falcone Gaccione VFW Post 8955, the Bradford Citizens Club and the Calabrese Society.
He is survived by four children, Laura Servidio (Michael) of Bradford, Ralph M. Abruzzese (Karen) of Westerly, Linda Brunelle (Donald) of Attleboro, MA and Gary M. Abruzzese also of Bradford; a brother Thomas Abruzzese of Bradford; eight grandchildren, Jill, Scott, MJR Kyle, Paul, LT Kayla, Katie, Abigail and Jordin; and five great grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m., at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 7 Church St., Bradford on Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow at St. Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly.
