Angelo J. "Lee" Sposato

Angelo J. "Lee" Sposato, 91, of Riverdale Road, Westerly, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at The Westerly Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was the husband for 50 years of the late Lillian (Castagna) Sposato.
Born in Westerly, he was a son of the late Joseph and Bomina Sposato.
Lee was a truck driver for the Westerly Department of Public Works for many years until his retirement in the mid-1980s. He also was the owner and proprietor of the Login Cabin Bar located on Pleasant Street. Lee was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, serving in both the Pacific and European theaters. He was a past-president of the Italo American Club, a past-president and member of the Calabrese Club, a member of the Masons and a life member of the Elks Club and the Westerly Yacht Club. In addition, he was a former Westerly Town Councilman and a former Westerly Police Commissioner.
Lee is survived by his sons, Stephen Sposato and Louis Crowe, and daughters, Joanne Pietrallo and MaryLou Lacert, all of Westerly. He was predeceased by his brothers, Joe, Sam and Frank, and his sisters, Roseann, Ann and Rosienne.
