Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

Dear ones all,
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time in your lives. My memories of Ginger are from the years she lived next door to me in Rockville. I remember how my mother and she would visit, almost every day. I remember how she would give the kids in town rides on Franny's horse. I remember the day she took Franny and I for a boat ride and told us she ran out of gas (she was just kidding, of course, and that was what made her fun to be around). I remember how patient she was with all of us, no matter who Franny had over--she never sent any of us away. After she moved from Rockville I would see her from time to time and she always took time to chat with me. One of the last times I saw Ginger was the day after I found out my dad had a rapid moving form of Leukemia. We were in the parking lot of Stop and Shop--she offered words of support and comfort and I remember her saying, "you just cannot get away from this, can you?" The "this" she meant was cancer. I will always treasure memories of the good times with Ginger and all of you in my heart. May God wrap His arms of love around each of you and fill you with His peace. May your memories bring you comfort during the days and weeks ahead, eventually they will bring you joy as you think of your wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, mother-in-law and friend. She lived her life well, may we all follow her example. Love, Darlene (McCall) Kennedy
