John Bradley Obituary
Jack was born in Waterbury, Conn., on Sept. 13, 1924, where he resided with his family and graduated from Crosby High School. He attended Boston College until it was time to serve his country in World War II as a pilot in the Army Air Corps, serving in the China-Burma-India theatre.
Jack's professional career started as a restaurant entrepreneur in the Boston area and then progressed into a successful sales management career with both Breck and Wella hair products in the Chicago area as well as the East Coast.
He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Linda (Zaber) Bradley; his stepson, Rich Zaber and wife Jennifer of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; as well as his five sons and daughter and their spouses, Ralph Bradley and Kathy Hermann of Baltimore, Md., John Edward Bradley of Westerly, Steve and Peggy Bradley of Naperville, Ill., Ed and Alice Bradley of Dallas, Texas, Patti and Rich Harper of West Simsbury, Conn., and Guy and Lisa Bradley of Warrenville, Ill. He was also much loved by his 22 grandchildren, Megan, Adam, Kara, Ross, Carlie, George, Zachary, Kalin, Kelly, Lindsay, Colin, Felicia, Annie, Logan, Tristan, Bradley, Rainey, Claire, Erin, Jackson, Lillie and Matthew. Jack was the loving brother of Sally McCool.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Evelyn Patricia (Desmond) Bradley; his son, John Joseph Bradley Jr.; his parents, Alice Elizabeth (McCarty) Bradley and Edward Francis Bradley; his brother, Edward; and sisters, Alice, Joan, Mary, Grace, Anne, and Barbara.
He is also sadly missed by his numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Anyone who has ever met him will never forget him, and we are all so proud to be part of his family.
He was grateful for his many friends, loved ones and all of the cherished memories he lived and died with.
A memorial service will be held at St. Clare Church, 4 Saint Clare Way, Westerly, on Monday, Nov. 23 at 10 a.m.

Dear everyone in the Bradley family:
Ralph told me of Jack's passing and it was one of those moments where you have about 1,000 memories of a person go through your brain in ten seconds. In this case all of them good. I met Jack while attending BC with Ralph in 1969- forty years ago. His good nature, sense of humor and generosity were apparent right from the get go. His love of an active life was something else. You could not "sleep-in" while Jack was around whether you were going to be used as a bad goalie in a pick up hockey game in Naperville or diving in a cove in Rhode Island. Betty and I send all of you our most sincere condolences on your loss and will keep you all in our hearts and minds. What a wonderful life he had.

Dear Linda, Patti, Ralph, Guy, Steve, John, Ed et al,
My mother Anne's beloved twin brother, Jack, died, signaling the fall of a dynasty. My Uncle Jack was like a second father to me. Only one sister, Sally, remains of the initial nine siblings.
Jack represents hope, the joker, twinkling blue eyes, the athlete, the love of water, lobster, fish and the sea, and eternal rise and shine worker in me. He taught me the true value of "working and playing together," and how a family or community can handle any challenge with true grit and grace. Every aspect of my life has been impacted by the love of this man, for this man, and the generosity he gave all who came in contact with him, on land, on sea and in the air.
I watched the meteor's dance the night of his death and imagined he was free of the limitations of his body as he aged and that he was flying and laughing with all those he has loved in his life and all those on earth who will miss him dearly, and remember him with a smile. What? That's what. (one of his jokes)
I want to give a special tribute to Linda, Jack's wife of 26 years. Jack's brimming love, affection and pride for Linda was contagious. Jack was lucky in love.

Linda,
My sincerest sympathy with you and all of Jack's family and loved ones. I will never forget flying around the Statue of Liberty or the time we went lobstering with Jack and he pulled up a pot and showed me the keepers and the eggers. Many fond memories close to my heart.

Gosh Linda, so sorry to hear about Jack. What a wonderful man! I have such fond memories: my earliest is of becoming a "pond watcher" with he and Nick and tooling around in the boats. Jack was such an interesting & engaging person to be around and added some flare to the neighborhood for sure :)A smile remains in my heart when I think of him (and you). Many hugs and much comfort to you and your family.

in Champaign, IL visiting Patti and
his car blew up. It was completely
destroyed by fire, and he thought it
was hilarious. His sense of humor was
