Rosalind Haring Obituary

Rosalind Kenyon Hoyle Haring of West Kingston died on June 22, 2010, at age 84. Her death came after a period of illness.
She was the daughter of the late Henry Douglas Hoyle Sr. and Muriel Kenyon Hoyle of West Kingston. She was born on Oct. 11, 1925.
She graduated from South Kingstown High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Rhode Island.
She was married on Dec. 10, 1949, to H. Jack Haring. They were married for 59 years until Mr. Haring's death in 2008. After a lifetime spent living and working in the Middle Atlantic states, they returned to West Kingston after retirement.
Mrs. Haring worked as a book editor with D. Van Nostrand publishers in New York City, as a librarian at the Dutch Neck Library in West Windsor, N.J., and as assistant director of public relations at Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton, N.J.
She was predeceased by her brother, Doug Hoyle of West Kingston. She is survived by four of her five children, Christopher Hooker-Haring, Jeffrey Haring, Douglas Haring and Andrea Haring. A fifth child, Eric Haring, died in 1980. She is also survived by her brother, John Hoyle of West Kingston, by five grandsons and a granddaughter.
A private family funeral service is planned.

Mrs. Haring was a wonderful person who always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. She will be missed by many people in our community.
