Arthur H. Kenyon, 89, of Charlestown, R.I., died peacefully on Sunday, April 13, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Jean (Foster) Kenyon.
Born in Charlestown, R.I., on April 29, 1924, he was the son of the late William and Hilda (Sherman) Kenyon.
Mr. Kenyon was employed at Bostitch for many years before his retirement.
Arthur served his country proudly in United States Army during World War II.
Arthur was a member of the Hikers Club of Rhode Island and a former member of the Charlestown Richmond Volunteer Fire Department.
Besides his wife of seventy years he will be sadly missed by his daughter; Edwina Kellers of Hope Valley, R.I., and his grandchildren; A. Carl Kellers and his wife Cathy and their daughter; Samantha of Charlestown, R.I., Deborah L. Martin and her husband Richard and their son Joshua of Charlestown, R.I., and Jill Davis and her husband James and their son Jacob of Mystic, CT. He also leaveS his brothers and sisters; Marilyn Rathbun, Cecelia Grimes, Ronald Kenyon, Dwight Kenyon and Wayne Kenyon. He was predeceased by his son-in-law; Albert Kellers great grandson; Anthony Martin. He was the brother of the late Emily Pike, Muriel Knowles, Gwendolyn Pelletier, Shirley Bosclair, Linton Kenyon and Raymond Kenyon.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at 11 a.m., at the White Brook Cemetery, Pine Hill Road, Richmond, R.I. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
