David Kenyon Obituary
He is survived by three siblings. Roger Kenyon of Ashaway, RI, Reggi Kenyon of Solon, ME, and Bonni Kenyon of North Kingstown, RI. He leaves four children, Jennie MacKay of Ayer, MA, Donna Jean of Westerly, David A. Kenyon of Middletown, CT and Cynthia Wheeler of Westerly. He is also survived by four grandchildren and one great-grandchild, all living in the Westerly area. David Kenyon served eight years in the National Guard and had a long career as a craftsman at General Dynamics Electric Boat, Groton, CT until his retirement in 1996. He was a life member of the AFLCIO. He had a love for do-it-yourself woodworking projects, as well as car racing and motorcycles. After a stroke in 2000 resigned him to the Pendleton Rehabilitation in Mystic, CT he enjoyed writing, word search, and the craft room. He will be missed by family and friends.
A wake will be held this Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Buckler-Johnson Funeral Home, 121 Main Street, Westerly, RI. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at New Hope Chapel, 80 Richmond Townhouse Road., Carolina, RI 02812.
