Janice Bailey Obituary
Born in Westerly, she was a daughter of Robert Shortman of Groton and Joan P. Shortman of Pawcatuck.
Janice was the co-owner of Seafood Etc. in Pawcatuck for many years. She was an accomplished artist who loved the beach and boating to Sandy Point. Janice enjoyed gardening and spending time with the apple of her eye, her grandson Nico.
In addition to her husband and parents, she will be sadly missed by her daughter, Angel Shortman Fusaro and husband Kyle of Westerly; six siblings, Timothy Shortman, Patricia Wright and Diane Harkness, all of Westerly, Todd Shortman and Sharon Clachrie both of Pawcatuck and Nancy Richmond of S. Kingstown; her grandson, Nico Fusaro of Westerly; her step-grandchildren, Kiana and Adam; a step-son, Michael Bailey and his children, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 5-7pm at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Funeral Service will take place on Friday at 10am in the funeral home. I went to high school with Janice, and would run into her from time to time when visiting Westerly. Janice was a sweetheart. And remained the same throughout the years. I am very sorry for your loss.
