Jerry L. Carner, 64, of Charlene Ave, Westerly, RI, died peacefully on Monday, October 7, 2013, at his home. He was the beloved husband of Bonnie (Macomber) Carner.

Born in Fort Knox, KY, he was the son of the late Vince and Ruby Carner. Jerry was career military and served his country in both the Vietnam War and in Desert Storm and retired from the United States Navy in 1999. He later worked at Foxwoods before his retirement.
Jerry was a member of the V.F.W Pawcatuck.
Besides his loving wife, he leaves his children; Ruby, Jerry L. Carner, Mark Carner, Tina, Samantha, Melissa Wirth, Michael Wirth, Joseph Borkman and David Borkman. He was the brother of Paulette Plymire and Alan Carner. He also leaves several grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-7 PM at the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St., Westerly, RI. The Funeral Service will be Saturday at 10:00 AM at the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors will be at Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery Exeter.
