Leonard Harrington Obituary
Born in New London, he was a son of the late Sherman D. and Ida May Harrington.
Leonard worked as a jigger for BDA for many years and was also employed at the former GAF. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his five sons; Leonard D. Harrington and Richard Harrington, both of Pawcatuck; Robert J. Harrington, of Tennessee; Thomas Harrington, of Hope Valley; and Brian Harrington, of Groton; and one daughter, Peggy Allen, of Westerly. He also will be missed by his 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, David J. Harrington; a daughter, Anne M. Hebert; and a brother, Leward Harrington.
Visiting hours are omitted. A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Cemetery, Stillman Avenue Extension, Pawcatuck. Burial with full military honors will follow. Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly, is in charge of arrangements.
