Mary DiRobbio Obituary
Born in Worcester, MA she was one of 7 children born to the late Emanuel and Mary Rose (Akers) Andrews.
Mary was first married to the late Donald Sheldon of Pawcatuck with whom she had two sons, Donald Sheldon of Preston, CT and the late Kenneth Sheldon who passed away on June 28, 2013, she later married Ralph DiRobbio and together they ran businesses in Plainfield and Charlestown, RI. Mary was known for her friendly spirit, loving nature and motherly advice. She enjoyed cooking, baking, puzzle books and a good novel. Mary is survived by her son Donald Sheldon and his wife Priscilla of Preston, daughter-in-law Dora Sheldon of Plainfield, 4 grandsons Dean and Sonya Sheldon of GA., Scott Sheldon of Norwich , Kenneth and Holly Sheldon of Plainfield and Jason and Nicole Sheldon of Norwich. 7 great grandchildren, Rachel Papasian, Colleen Sheldon, Christopher Solomen, Ariel Solomen, Skylar Sheldon, Baily Gagnon and Genevaskye Sheldon and 3 great great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a sister Edith Thibeault of Pawcatuck her angel nieces Sandra Sorrena and Gina Spaulding, her adopted children Tammy Morgan and Charlie Bower of NY and a sister-in-law Marylou Andrews of NY along with many nieces , nephews and friends.
In addition to her son Kenneth she was also preceded in death by 2 brothers Ralph and Arthur, 3 sisters Pauline, Gertrude and Eleanor.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 11:30 am in the River Bend Cemetery, Beach St., Westerly, RI
Calling hours will precede the service from 10:00-11:30 AM in the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home 121 Main Street, Westerly

What a joy Mary was to know here at the Villa Maria. Her wonderful sense of humor and kindness made everyone who met her love her. We will miss her deeply at the Villa Maria.
