Nancy Ann Thompson (Anyzeski), 66, of Luck, WI, formerly of North Stonington, CT, died Monday, June 2, 2014, at the University of Minnesota Hospital, on Harvard Street in Minneapolis.
Nancy was born on November 28, 1947, to Hazel (Drake) and Thomas Peapody. Nancy grew up in Clarks Falls, CT, and graduated from Wheeler High School in 1966.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Leon Drake, Frank Anyzeski, and sister Mary McNutt.
Nancy met the love of her life, Robert Lee Thompson, while he was serving in the US Navy.
Besides her husband she leaves her four children, Robert Lee Thompson, Jr., (Margaret) of Osceola, WI, Lisa Rae Baillargeon (Eric) of Milltown, WI, Heidi Jo Hansen (Mike) of Dellwood, MN, and Nathan Chad Thompson of Stillwater, MN.
Nancy was a wonderful mother who dedicated her life to raising her children, stating many times, that God gifted her more time than she imagined she would have when diagnosed with breast cancer in 1978. Nancy faced another severe health challenge in 2001 when she learned she needed a liver transplant. Her beloved daughter Lisa was privileged to be the donor. This gift of life gave Nancy 13 more years which blessed her whole family especially her seven wonderful grandchildren Eric Wester, Abbigail Thompson, Timothy Ryle, Blake Hansen, Brock Hansen, Amelia Thompson, and Eleanor Thompson, who were the light of her life.
Though Nancy had to fight through numerous serious medical challenges she was never heard to complain. Nancy was a woman of incredible grace and unwavering faith. Nancy will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Nancy is now in Heaven with her Lord and Savior and reunited with her loved ones.
