Thomas Sheek, 86, beloved husband of the late Clara (Brogno) Sheek, of Woodlund Ave., Westerly, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014.

Born in Winston-Salem, NC, on March 21, 1928. He was the son of the late Robert and Bertha Sheek and the brother of the late Robert Sheek Jr.
He was a graduate of Gray High School, Class of 1944. He enlisted in the US Navy near the end of WWII and was stationed at the Charlestown Naval Auxiliary Air Station in Charlestown, R.I., transferred to the Quonset Naval Air Station, then later transferred to the OSS (Office of Strategic Services). He met his wife, Clara, at the Rollerdrome Skating Rink in Westerly in 1946, married in Westerly, September 2, 1948.
He is survived by a son, Bill Sheek of Westerly, and three daughters, Diana Palmer of Gastonia, NC, Debbie Morris and Jennifer Rosa, both of Westerly, four grandchildren, Kyna, David, Gabriella and Austin, two great grandchildren, Sydney and EL.
Visiting hours are omitted. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Tuesday the 15th at 10 a.m., at St Pius X Church, Elm St., Westerly, R.I.
