Angelina (Gaccione) Alice, 82, of East Ave., Westerly, passed away peacefully Sunday, Oct. 14 at the Westerly Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Westerly, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Immaculata Gaccione.
Angelina was the devoted wife of 50 years to the late Louis A. Alice. Together, they owned and operated L.A. Alice Floor Covering for 28 of those years.
After her retirement, Mrs. Alice loved cooking for her family, spending winters in Florida with their daughter and son-in-law, and meeting her friends for their morning "coffee clatch" at McDonald's.
She was a communicant of St. Pius X Church, Westerly, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW post.
She is survived by her daughter Priscilla Alice and her husband Don Berthelette, of Brooksville, Fla., and daughter Lois Alice, of Westerly.
She is predeceased by two brothers, Michael and John Gaccione and four sisters, Anna Scaglione, Rose Kupidlowski, Theresa Servidio, and Helen Scaglione, all of Westerly.
Visiting hours will be held in Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly, Thursday, Oct. 18 from 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. followed by an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Pius X Church, Elm Street, Westerly. Burial will be in St. Sebastian Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to , PO Box 150, Memphis TN 38101 or VNS Home Health Services, 15 Woodruff Ave., Narragansett, R.I.
