Betty B. (Megin) Campbell, 79, of Pawcatuck, beloved wife of the late Francis Campbell passed away Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, at Mystic Manor from complications due to Alzheimer's.

Born in Waterbury, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Edith (Crandall) Megin.
She was a graduate of the Meriden School of Nursing class of 1950.
Betty had been a resident of Pawcatuck since 2000, previously residing in North Stonington for most of her life. She was employed for many years as the school nurse for the North Stonington School System and for public health. She was a member of the Nurses Club and the North Stonington Congregational Church.
Betty leaves a son, Brian Campbell and his wife, Tina, of Pawcatuck; her twin brother, Eugene "Bud" Megin and his wife, Dorothy, of Florida; sisters-in-law, Marie Megin of Virginia, Jean Concilio of Connecticut, and Esther Jordon and her husband Fred of South Carolina; two grandchildren, Justin and Ian Campbell of Pawcatuck; and three great-grandchildren, Brendan, Gavin and Briana Campbell; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Frederick and Wally Megin.
A memorial service in her memory will be celebrated Friday, Feb. 29, at 11 a.m. at the North Stonington Congregational Church, 89 Main St. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
