Donald C. Cahoon, age 73, of Townhouse Road, Hopkinton, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at his home.
He was born on Sept. 30, 1939, in Providence, a son of the late Raymond and Elida (Girard) Cahoon.
Donald was a self-employed construction worker.
Donald proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. While in the Army he also served a year in Germany.
He was a member of the American Legion Gordon Green Post in Hope Valley, a member of Charity Lodge No. 23 F&A.M. Kenyon, R.I.
Donald is survived by his daughters, Amanda Cahoon, of Moosup, Conn., and Elida Graham, of Coventry; as well as a granddaughter Santi Smith; and two sisters, Tracy Fink, of Okla., and Paula Stone, of Hope Valley.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, from 4-8 p.m. in the S.R. Avery Funeral Home 3A Bank St., Hope Valley.
Relatives and friends are also invited to attend the committal services with military honors at the Rhode Island Veteran Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at 10 a.m.
