Margaret A. (Fletcher) Taulbee, 60, of Uncasville, passed away on Friday, Nov. 16, 2007 at home with her family and friends by her side.

Margaret was born on June 15, 1947 in Evansville, Ind., the daughter of Raymond and Helen (Pemberton) Fletcher. She worked for the state of Connecticut's Department of Mental Retardation, and retired after nearly 30 years. She had an incredible sense of humor that will always be remembered.
Margaret was a devoted mother and grandmother; it was important to her to spend time with her family and friends, especially Valerie and Lisa. She loved to travel, take cruises, paint and do arts and crafts.
Margaret is survived by her children, Robert Matlock of Newnan, Ga., Stanley Matlock of Westerly and Renea Matlock of Norwich; her brother, Lee Fletcher of South Carolina; her grandchildren, Scott Matlock of Uncasville, Paul and Brian O'Hanlon of Gales Ferry, Dakota Matlock, Scott and Amanda Mobley of Georgia; Maegan and Rachel Pullin of Westerly; and many friends.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 19, 2007 at the Church and Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St. Norwich.
A 12 p.m. funeral home service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 20; burial will immediately follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
