Rose M. (Capizzano) Gray, 88, beloved wife of James T. Gray, of Tower St., Westerly, passed away at Apple Rehab The Clipper on Friday, June 15, 2012.
Born in Westerly, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Rosaria Capizzano.
Rose worked as a wax molder for Connecticut Casting until her retirement. She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church and a member of the Calabrese Society Women's Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards and loved spending time with family, especially her grand and great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, John A. and Valerie Sistare of Westerly and Frank D. and AltheaSistare of Collegeville, PA; two step-sons, James and Sharon Gray and Fred and Mary Gray; sisters, Lena Leonetti, Nancy Vincent and Margaret Pariseau, all of Westerly; and nine grandchildren, John A. Sistare, Jr., Fr. Juniper Sistare, Bethany Kennedy, Nathan Sistare, Molly Ramos, Melinda Gray, Christina Gray, Jamie Gray and James Gray, III. Rose was predeceased by one grandson, Charles Gray; four brothers, James, Santo, Dominic and Frank Capizzano and a sister, Virginia Johnson.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., Westerly followed by burial in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly.
