Rosemarie I. (Lewis) Gingerella, 79, wife of the late Robert E. Gingerella, of Pound Road, Westerly, passed away at The Westerly Hospital on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in East Killingly, Conn., she was a daughter of the late Philip and Helen Lewis.
Rosemarie retired after many years as a bus driver for the Westerly School Department. She was known as a great homemaker and tremendous cook. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by a son, Robert E. Gingerella, II and his wife, Donna; daughters, Lori G. Corah and Gina M. Hoffman and her husband, Marlin, all of Westerly; as well as five grandchildren, Robert E. Gingerella, III, Wesley J. Gingerella, Steven W. Corah, Christine R. Corah and Faith C. Hoffman. She also leaves behind her beloved Basset Hound, Zipper.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly.
A Funeral Liturgy will take place in St. Michael the Archangel Church, 60 Liberty St., Pawcatuck on Tuesday at noon. Burial will follow in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly.
