Wayne L. Anton, of Pawcatuck, Conn., passed away from this life into the eternal rest on Aug.18, 2012.
He was born in Minot, N.D., on Aug. 5, 1942, to William Anton and Eleanor Schiele Anton. His father and brother, Gary, predeceased him in death.
Wayne and JoAnne Heintz were married on March 30, 1961.
Wayne leaves behind his mother and two daughters, Cindy Dotson, of Hope Valley, R.I., and Shari Medeiros, of Waynesboro, Va. His daughter, Jacqueline, preceded him in death in May 2011.
Wayne has seven grandchildren, Aaron, Sara, Mark Eric, Matthew, Colton, Jacob and Michael David. He also leaves Landon, his great-grandchild.
Wayne served in the U.S. Navy for three years. He was employed at Pfizer in Groton for 38 years. He was a member of the Pawcatuck Coin Club and a lifetime member of Amvets.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St., Westerly, R.I., with a brief service to follow at 11 a.m.
Wayne will be laid to rest in the River Bend Cemetery in Westerly in our families' final resting place
