Eileen Marie Archer, 78, of Quaker Hill, Conn., died Saturday, June 15, 2013.

She was born Aug. 15, 1934, in Colon, Panama, the daughter of the late Jim H. Riley and Phyllis Riley Kononchik. She was united in marriage to James Archer on Nov. 29, 1997, in New London. Mr. Archer survives her.
Eileen was employed for many years at Electric Boat, holding positions such as planner, expeditor, messenger and as a liaison to the British Naval office.
Besides her husband, James, she is survived by two daughters and their spouses; Kimberly Cercena and Ken Jones, of Westerly; and Heather and Ken Skorinko, of Coplay, Pa.; her grandchildren; Jeanine; Jeremy and wife, Jen; Rachael; Nadia; Zachary Skorinko; brother, Joel F. Riley, of New London; sisters, Christine Buscetto, of Uncasville, Conn.; and Phyllis McCormack, of Gales Ferry, Conn. Eileen is also survived by Jim's children; James and Petra, of Frankfurt, Germany; Kenneth and Jennifer, of Pawcatuck; and grandchildren Catherine, Kristen and Sandra.
Her family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 181 Ocean Ave., New London. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in St. James Episcopal Church, 76 Federal St., New London. Interment is private.
