Mildred (Capwell) Paladino, of Morgan St., Pawcatuck, passed away at Apple Rehab Clipper, on Sunday, April 20, 2014, at the age of 87. She was the wife of the late David A. Paladino.
Born in New London, CT, she was a daughter of Irvin and Daisy Capwell.
Mildred was a communicant of St. Pius X Church, Westerly. She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Connie Butler of Pawcatuck and Carol (Brian) Gibb of Westerly; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Lois Beebe.
Millie and Dave were the proprietors of The Elms Nursing Home for more than thirty years. In life, Millie valued her family and service to others.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, from 5-7 p.m., at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. An additional visiting hour will be held in St. Matthias Church, 317 Chesterfield Rd., East Lyme, CT, on Thursday, from 10-11 a.m., immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at 11 a.m., in the church. Burial will take place in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly.
