Roger E. Forand, 38, of River Ave. Bradford, died unexpectedly on Monday, Nov. 2, 2009. He was the beloved husband of Joy (Page) Forand.

Born in Westerly on Dec. 19, 1970, he was the son of the late Richard A. Forand.
Roger had been the deli manager at McQuade's Marketplace in Mystic. He also had worked at Davis Standard, U.B.S and Midway Pizza.
Roger was a member of the Bradford Social Club, former Moose Club, Westerly Fire Department Fire Police, Boy Scout Troop 10, Westerly and helped coach Westerly Little League.
He was an avid NASCAR fan, and his favorite driver was Casey Khane #9. He was a big fan of the San Francisco 49ers.
Besides his wife, he will be sadly missed by his two children, Nicole Forand of Westerly and Richard Joseph Forand of Bradford. He also leaves his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Tracy Forand of Bradford; two nephews, Jacob and Lucas Forand, both of Bradford; his mother, Rose Tilley of Westerly; his half-brothers, Michael Stead of Westerly and Michael Walters of Maine; and half-sister, Robin Young of Westerly. He was the stepfather of Leslie Blinn, Larysa Blinn, Loreli Blinn and Frank Kunc.
Calling hours will be held on Friday at the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St. Westerly, from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral service and burial will be private.
