William Card Obituary
He was born on May 27, 1949, in Wakefield, R.I., to the late Frank K. and Barbara R. Card.
Bill was a U.S. Merchant Marine for 42 years, which included supporting the U.S. military during the Vietnam and Gulf wars. He will be remembered for his vibrant sense of life, his humor and his wonderful laughter.
Bill is survived by his wife of 23 years, Pam, and his daughter, Danielle. He is also survived by his sister, Bonnie R. Shawn, the wife of the late Ronald G. Shawn, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Frank E. "Ned" Card.
Services in Florida are being held Sunday, April 3, 2011, at 2 p.m. and are in the care of the Ponte Vedra Valley Family Funeral Home www.pontevedravalley.com .
A memorial service in Rhode Island will take place at a later date.
