Aunt Ella will continue to be treasured throughout our lives. Always carrying love in her heart and a strength of endurance beyond our imaginations. Her loving hands holding ours gave us a warmth that we will miss greatly although we know she will be close by in spirit. Aunt Ella, we love you today like we loved you yesterday and tomorrow won't change any of those feelings. Please guide us when we need help and take comfort in knowing what you have left behind on this earth is stronger human beings because of you. Thank you Aunt Ella ~
Love always,
frani, your nephew Les, and our sons ~

Ella's Family,

Ella walked a trail that many could only dream about. In the Indian world
she was a spiritual leader and helped move many tribes forward in many areas.
Ella truly left a footprint for her family to follow. I spent many hours talking with her and like to believe we imparted much knowledge in our Indian world onto each other. Ella and I were two of a handful that testified on behalf of the Narragansett Tribe which helped the tribe gain Federal Recognition in 1983. Ella comes from a long line that traces back to the Royal Blood line of the Niantic-Narragansett tribe. Ella will never die as her blood is in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Where we are now Ella was. Where Ella is now we shall be.

I will miss my Aunt Ella. She always went out of her way to acknowledge me and make me feel important. Always encouraging and always educating me, even in regular conversation. My heart goes out to my cousins, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. May she be at peace among our ancestors in the spirit world.
