Peter Zarkowski Obituary
Born in Westerly, he was the son of the late Peter R. and Dorothy Zarkowski.
Peter was a graduate of Westerly High Class of '61. His life's passion was landscaping, which he enjoyed professionally until his retirement. He was a member of the Asylum Lodge #57 A.F. And A.M. where he was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a Past Master, as well as a Past Master of Pawcatuck Lodge No. 90 A.F. And A.M .
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 38 years, Colleen Zarkowski; his seven children and 17 grandchildren. He also leaves a brother, Donald Weaver and his wife, Lois.
Visiting hours are omitted. A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:30 a.m. at River Bend Cemetery, 117 Beach St., Westerly. Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly is in charge of arrangements. For online condolences, please visit www.gaffneydolanfuneralhome.com

My condolences to the Zarkowski family. Peter will be missed as our paths crossed many times during our lives. From working with him as a 16 year old to carpentry and care taking clients in Watch Hill and Weekapaug, we had the same clients and we would meet up and talk. It is with a heavy heart I write this but, he is at peace in the lords hands, prayers and my thoughts go to the family of this hard working and nice man.

Rest in peace my brother. Many, many memories from the past have flashed through my mind today as they have through out the years. You were a great friend and a fine gentleman may you rest in the hands of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You have passed from this life to the next but your memories will last forever. You touched many lives over the last 50 odd years and I am sure that you will be missed by a great many of the friends that you made along life's journey. May God have Mercy on your Soul.
