James Olivia Audrey James, 78, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013. She was born February 26, 1935 in New Orleans, Louisiana and was a graduate of Booker T. Washington H.S. Olivia retired from Franklin County MRDD. She loved to cook and cherished the time that she was able to spend around the Sunday dinner table with her family. She is preceded in death by her mother Beulah Washington, stepfather Louis Washington, father Ernest Johnson, and brother Samuel Anderson. Olivia is survived by her husband of 59 years, Stephen F. James, Sr.; daughter, Cherlyn (Nathan) Bowman; sons, Stephen (Aleksandra) James, Jr. and Ernest L. James; grandchildren, Nathan Bowman II, Ernest R. (Lauren) James, Jennifer (Michael) Reber; Jeffrey (Kathleen) James, Derick James, Ashley James, and Myami Faerber; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Elijah, Preston, Reagan, Brennan, Jace, Jax, Isaac, and one more on the way in January 2014; brother-in-law, Ernest P. (Shirley) James; sister-in-law, Ruth Robbins; sister-in-law, Theresa Davis; and many other nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends. The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2165 W. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43223, Fr. Dennis Stevenson Celebrant. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Pancreatic Cancer Research, C/O Johns Hopkins University, 401 N. Broadway, Weinberg 2242, Baltimore, MD 21231.
