I am sorry to hear of the passing of Arnez, He and I served together MCRD San Diego. "Marine of Marines" Jokes, stories, and a lot of laughs. Fond of impersonations and singing - my favorite his Sammy Davis Jr. sings Frank Sinatra. He would tell me " Gilpin! here let me show you the right way to do that!" and " Love me , Hate me either way you're still thinking of me - I'm unforgettable" and laugh. I'll miss you Marine . . .

Barb, I was so upset to hear of your loss of Arnez. I had heard about Shelley at the same time. My heart and soul go out to you. I know how proud you were of him and loved hearing your stories of him. I always thought there would be a lucky woman some day. Thinking of you and Richard and praying for you. Frances Coyne-Davis

Wow, I only found out yesterday evening that you had passed. Dee Dee, my heart truly aches as you were such a kind, wonderful man of God. From your jokes, to your stories to your guess what movie it is from...you were one of a kind. What a beautiful person you were. I had no idea that when I gave you a hug back in October when I saw you, that it would be the last time that I would see that smile. So glad to have met and know you.

I had the distinct honor of meeting Arnez and enjoying his company for the past 2 1/2 years. Arnez always had a smile and a good word to say for everyone. He will be greatly missed. But remember, he has touched many lives and made those better just for being Arnez! My most sincere condolences go out to the family and close friends. Arnez will always be in our hearts.

It was such a pleasure to have known Arnez. He was joyful and caring and always willing to go that extra mile. He was an excellent worker and you could see God's love all over him. He used to love to play ping pong and pool in the dayroom and he was quite good at it. He will be greatly missed but his spirit will live on. God has called another angel home because his work here was done. May you rest in peace.
