He is survived by his sister, Halina Ostrowski; and nieces and nephews; his wife, Carolyn; daughter, Sylvia (Mitch); son, Robert (Anne); and grandchildren, Alexander, Thomas and Daniel. Peters, Robert Melvin  
Peters Robert Melvin Peters, "Bob" age 85, of Ashville, passed away June 25, 2016 at his home with family by his bedside. Bob served in the Ohio National Guard for 9 years, worked for Columbus & Southern Ohio Electric Company as a Lab Technician for 38 years, and worked as an attendant at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home for 28 years. Bob is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty (Kocher) Peters; son, Brent Peters. Visitation will be Friday, July 1 from 2-7 p.m. at the OLIVER-CHEEK FUNERAL HOME, 420 W. Main St., Ashville. Funeral will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2 at the Zion United Methodist Church, 24 Plum St., Ashville, Ohio 43103 with Rev. Ty Myers officiating. Poston, Helen Jane  
Poston Helen Jane Poston, passed away on June 25, 2016. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband James Poston, parents Lawrence and Blanche Chambers, brothers Larry, Jay, Jack, Bill, Sam, and Arnold. She is survived by her sister, Ruth "Peachy" Washburn; daughters, Lucinda (Alfredo) Poston-Horna and Lindy (Gary) Trunbull; grandchildren, Lindsey (Matthew) Hathaway-Petr and Christopher Hathaway; and many loving nieces and nephews. Jane graduated from Central High School and attended Business College. She was employed by Huntington Bank and served in the Coast Guard from 1943 to 1945. After her military service she married James and became a loving and devoted wife and mother. Jane volunteered for the Kidney Foundation of Ohio and was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Grove City. Visitation will be held at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016. Service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2016 with graveside to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Heart Association. Prechtel, Nancy McLaughlin  
Prechtel Nancy McLaughlin Prechtel, 78, of Powell, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. Nancy was born on May 28, 1938 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Anthony and Rose McLaughlin. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard ("Dick") Prechtel, and her sister Patricia Carroll. Nancy graduated high school as Valedictorian and Student Council President from St. Mary's Academy in Philadelphia, and attended Youngstown State University. She worked as an executive legal secretary in Philadelphia and Youngstown, then retired from her professional career to spend time raising her family. Nancy was a beloved wife, mother and sister. Nancy and Dick were married on September 9, 1961 in Philadelphia and enjoyed 52 years of marriage. Nancy was the proud mother of twin daughters, Nancy P. Davis (Todd) and Mimi Geswein (Jerry). Nancy is survived by her sisters, Elizabeth (George) Schreiber and Rosemary (Ed) Nessler; and by five grandchildren whom she adored, Jack Geswein, Meggie Davis, Layne Geswein, Kate Geswein, and Luke Davis. Nancy was devoted to her family, faith and community. She and her husband raised their daughters in Boardman, Ohio before retiring to North Carolina in 2000. Upon the passing of her beloved husband in 2013, Nancy returned to Ohio to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Nancy was active in the Angels of Easter Seals, the Junior Guild, the Mother of Twins Club, the Hitchcock Woods Garden Club and Bridge Club, and the Villa Maria High School Villarama. Devout in her Catholic faith, she served for many years as a Eucharistic Minister, faithfully prayed the Rosary, and was a member of St. Brigid of Kildare Church in Dublin, Ohio. Deeply proud of her Irish heritage, among Nancy's fondest memories were her trips to Ireland and Scotland, and her many visits to Notre Dame. She was an avid fan of watching college football and professional golf. Friends and family may call from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME, 450 West Olentangy St, Powell, Ohio. Nancy will be buried in a traditional Catholic burial on Wednesday, June 29 at 10 a.m. at St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church, Dublin, Ohio with interment to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Columbus, Ohio. Price Debra (McConnell) Price, 58, of Grove City, Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 23, 2016. She was born in Columbus, Ohio to Robert and Opal (Berry) McConnell on February 6, 1958. She is preceded in death by her parents. Debra is survived by her loving husband, George; children, Eddie (Jennifer) Hefner, Kristina (Tommy) Mason, John Price, Cammie Price; siblings, Barbara (Arnold) Brown, Linda (Frank) Hutton, Larry McConnell; much loved grandsons and grand-daughters; and dear friend, Tamera Duncan. Debra loved her church family and her family above all else. She enjoyed gatherings, crafts as well as her pets. She loved to work with all plants and was always up to the challenge of attempting to grow anything. In lieu of sending flowers, anyone who would like to help the family offset expenses, can make a donation to the family in care of George Price. Pack Pauline M. Pack, 85, of Columbus, Ohio went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 21, 2016. She was born to Raymond and Mazie Gierhart on December 11, 1930 in Lancaster, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son and daughter. Pauline is survived by her daughters, Patricia Ann Connors, Brenda Rodriguez, Karen Sabo; sister, Norma Jean Gorrell; granddaughter, Tess Rodriguez; and many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was a long time member of Local 147B GICU, printers union. Pauline was a loving mother and grandmother whose loss will be felt deeply by her family. Paulsen David K. Paulsen, age 67, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016. David was born on September 19, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio to the late David and Wilma (Skidmore) Paulsen. David was a free spirit. He enjoyed doing martial arts and learning about new technology. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister Nancy Paulsen. He will be greatly missed by his brothers, Clifford A., Wesley and Robert Paulsen; and nephews, Clifford B., Jason and Jeff Paulsen. Peterman Linda McCandlish Peterman, died on June 18, 2016 at the age of 59 from a long battle of lung disease. Preceded in death by her parents Merle and Virginia McCandlish, her brothers Danny, Mark, Timmy and Norman and her sister Becky. Survived by her husband, Larry; her two sons, Jimmy and Little Larry; and her daughter-in-law, Theresa Danille. She had seven grandchildren. Pettit Hazel Pettit, age 92, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away June 20, 2016. She was born May 1st, 1924 to William and Etta (Frazier) Ratcliffe in Clifford, KY. Predeceased in death by her mother, father, three brothers Dan, (Vade), Jim (Elizabeth), and Garrett and two sisters, Lou (Bill) Hall and Dolly (Grey) Maynard. Also predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Jerry Pettit and daughter Becky, father and mother-in-law Stanley and Florence Pettit, brothers-in-law Cliff Pettit, Jack (Med) Pettit, Tom Pettit, Richard Pettit and special nephew Tommy Ratcliffe. Survived by daughter, Lisa Ann (Mark) Cronley; and her granddaughters who were the light of her life, Kara Ann, Kate Elizabeth and Abby Olivia Cronley. Survivors also include her brother-in-law, Paul (Jonie) Pettit; sister-in-law, Jo-Ann Pettit; and sister-in-law, Chris Pettit. Many nieces and nephews in Columbus, Kentucky and West Virginia also survive her. She worked for Big Bear grocery store for 27 years. She loved to quilt, garden, read and color in her coloring books but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends and treasured her memories of all the good times they had together. Family will receive friends Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery.
