Baker John Baker, 87, of Columbus, passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital on February 27, 2015. Born on March 2, 1927 in Barwick, KY. Survived by daughter, Barbara Ann Comer; sons, Donald (Susie) Baker, Ronald Lee Baker and Jeffrey Lewis Baker; grandchildren, Alicia, Lorelle', Ryan, Karyn, Rebecca, Daniel, Rebecca, Jeffrey and Brin; 13 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by first wife Mildred Marie Baker, second wife Edith Baker, daughter Gladys Baker and a brother Charles Baker. Friends may call at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral service on Thursday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Baker, Robert D. "Bob"  
Baker Robert D. "Bob" Baker, age 85, passed Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. Bob was born in Cambridge, Ohio on December 20, 1929 to the late William and Hazel (Dixon) Baker. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the US Navy. Bob retired after 33.1 years as Sergeant in plant security at General Motors, where he served many years with distinction. He was a member of the American Legion Post #323 St. Mary's, Ohio and Moose Lodge #11 of Columbus. Bob's best friend was his dog Angie. She could do no wrong. She has since passed, but was always included in everything he did. Preceded in death by his parents; wife Bettylou Baker; son-in-law Jack Miles Ranney; sisters Mary Berry and Evelyn Overdorff. Survived by his children, Robert (Cindy) Baker and Joy Ranney; grandchildren, Jessica (Tim) Breen, Elizabeth (Robert) Dailey, Tessa Baker (Ryan Webb), Robert Baker and Darla Koehler; great grandchildren, Emma, Maddie, Logan, Nathan, Luke, Sullivan, and Declan; brother-in-law, John Overdorff; many nieces, nephews, cousins; special friends, Edith Elmore, Pete and Marilyn Burke, Linda Dean; and the Grand Lake St. Mary's gang where he spent so many fun filled summers on the lake. Bob will be remembered by all as a man who loved a good Margarita with his friends and neighbors. Family will receive friends from 3-6 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL 3030 W. Baker, Robert D.  
Baker Robert D. Baker, Ph.D., age 77, peacefully passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the Emeritus of Chestnut Hill. He was born in Cottage Hill, Illinois on January 11, 1938 to the late Robert O. and Doris Kessinger Baker. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Linda Oldaker Baker; children, Robert A. Baker, Pamela (Martin) VanDenack, Barbara Claypool and Michael (Lisa) Baker, DPM, Jeffrey (Cindy) Bertsch and Cindy Phillips; 11 grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren; sister, Donna (Fred) Marshall and her family. A dedicated member of the Gahanna Community Congregational Church. Bob was very committed to The Gideon's International, where he was past President and Chaplain for the Adams County Camp. He earned his Ph.D. in Physiology specializing in bovine embryology. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Gahanna Community Congregational Church, 470 Havens Corners, Gahanna, Ohio 43230. Pastor Brian McGookey, officiating. Bates, Lois F.  
Bates Lois F. Bates, age 80, of Dublin and formerly of Gahanna, entered into eternal rest Thursday, February 19, 2015. She was born June 5, 1934 in Cleveland, OH to the late Henry and Fannie Bergenstein. Lois grew up in Cleveland and moved to Gahanna in 1972. She was a long time member of St. Matthew Church and was employed with State Office Supplies for nearly 20 years. Lois enjoyed life, loved to travel all over the world (especially to Vegas) and taking memorable vacations with the kids. She loved being under the sun in warm weather. Lois had a fighting spirit. She celebrated life with her friends and family and enjoyed the fun times spent with them. She will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband William Bates and great-grandchildren Natalie, Tobias and Vincent Bates. Lois will be missed by her loving companion of 15 years, Bill Swope; daughters, Deborah (Michael) Huffman, Victoria Spence; son-in-law, Eric Spence; sons, Mark (Wendy) Bates, Scott (Cindy) Bergenstein; grandchildren, Henry Huffman, Eric and Richard Spence, Brandon (Kim), Justin, and Molly Bates, Elias, Evan, Emily and Eloise Bergenstein; great granddaughter, Anastasia Catherine Bates; brother, Henry (Norma) Bergenstein; and many nieces and nephews. Beam Shirley May Beam, age 83, of Johnstown, died Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the Pataskala Oaks. Shirley was born in Continental, Ohio on February 12, 1932 to the late Orley J. and Alida E. (Koenig) Corkwell. She is survived by her husband, Cletus; children, Debra Smitley, Barbara (Tim) Martin, Ted (Debbie) Beam; grandchildren, Jeannette (Joe) Dixon, Bill Smitley, John (Anna) Wells, Maureen Martin, Ian Martin, Ariel Beam, Alexander Beam, Alissa Beam, and Amelia Beam; great-grandchildren, Jacob Harrison Dixon and Joseph Henry Wells; sisters, Orpha Elston and Patti (Bill) Neumann; sister-in-law, Florine (Ralph) Jackson; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Shirley was a member of the Miller Memorial United Methodist Church. Bechtel (Murtha) Mary Ellen Bechtel (Murtha), age 84, entered eternal life on February 21, 2015 at Worthington Christian Village, Columbus, Ohio. Born March 4, 1930 in Columbus, Ohio. Daughter of Matthew J. Murtha Sr. and Ellen E. Murtha. Mary Ellen graduated from Immaculate Conception grade school and St. Mary of the Springs, Columbus, Ohio. She entered Sisters of St. Francis Joliet Illinois, graduated from St. Francis College and received a MA from DePaul University, Chicago. She was a teacher for 33 years, Principal 8 years and completed her teaching career serving 9 years at St. Mary's School in Marion, Ohio. Mary Ellen married Richard Bechtel on January 26, 1974 at St. John the Evangelist church. She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard; brother, Edward F. Murtha (Mary Ellen); and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents and brother Matthew J. Murtha (Thelma). Visiting hours will be held from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at the church followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Peace Church, 20 E. Dominion Blvd., Columbus, Ohio 43214. Procession to follow and burial services to be held at Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 North High Street, Route 23 North, Lewis Center, OH 43035-9413. Beckelheimer Michael Beckelheimer, 28, passed away on February 19, 2015. He was born on August 17, 1986. He was preceded in death by his father Michael Beckelheimer, grandmother Gloria Pendergast, grandfathers Roger Beckelheimer, James Dains, Gerald Rathburn and uncle Jeffrey Beckelheimer. Surviving family includes children, Michael Rook and Delilah Ryan; mother, Debra Dains; nana, Janice Rathburn; aunts, Brenda (Jerry) Cochrun, Brenda Carlson, Amy Beckelheimer, Rickie (Dale) Longfellow; uncles, Thomas (Sheila) Dains, Steve Phillips, J.R. (Judy) Beckelheimer, Eugene Beckelheimer; cousins, Nicole Beckelheimer, Courtney King, Ryan Mook, Heather Diemer, T.J. Dains, Josh Butler, Samantha Dains; many friends including best friend, Spencer Campbell. Mike was a graduate of Hilliard Darby High School and attended Columbus State. He had a very loving heart and such a sweetness about him. As someone recently said, "There was a light in him that anyone could see." Mike was very outgoing and never met a stranger. He was very creative with a gift for writing. We will always love you, Mikie, and hold you in our hearts forever. "52." Bell Josephine Bell, 72, passed peacefully at her home on February 22, 2015. She was born January 29, 1943 in Monticello, GA to the late Charlie Frank "Bitter" Bell and Annie Kate Couch. She was a faithful, long-time member of Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith and retired from DSW. Her infectious smile, loving spirit, and sense of humor will be truly missed. She is survived by her children, daughters and caregivers, Tonya Jo Swan and Tanika (Damon) Nabrit; sons, Tommy (Vera) Swan Jr. and Herman Swan; grandchildren, Brandon Stewart, Taylor Swan, and Tierra Swan; great-grandchildren, Romello Thomas and Anthony Stewart; siblings, Sarah Goolsby and Collin Bell. Bellamy Catherine A. Bellamy, age 93, Monday, February 23, 2015 at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor. She was born June 25, 1921, the daughter of Thomas and Margaret Grimes Monahan. Member of St. Ladislas Catholic Church and former resident of Seton South. She loved fishing, playing cards, bowling, riding roller coasters and white water rafting. She road her last roller coaster at age 83. Preceded in death by husband William Bellamy, infant grandson Matthew, three sisters and six brothers. Survived by children, Catherine (William) Palmer, William T. (Shirley) Bellamy, Laurence (Antoinette) Bellamy, Michele Bellamy (Ohrablo), and Michael (Sandra) Bellamy; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Evelyn Monahan; many nieces and nephews. Berry Jimmy Berry, age 52. Sunrise August 26, 1962. Sunset Saturday February 21, 2015 at the OSU Medical Center. Devoted employee of Techneglas for over 20 years where he was a "Journeyman Pipe Fitter". Jimmy was preceded in death by his father William Henry Berry and his brother Donald Berry.
