Elledge Rev. J. Samuel Elledge, 71, of West Jefferson, went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ, Friday, October 21, 2016 after a 15 month battle with liver cancer. Survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Lynn (Worley) Elledge; daughters, Kimberly Elledge and Lori (Elledge) Fonner; son in law, Matt Fonner; granddaughters, Halie and Krista Fonner; sister, Marietta (Wolfe) Webster; brother in law, Walter Webster; nieces, Lanna Marie (Phill) Chatman and Lanita (Solomon) Woods and children. He was preceded in death by his father John Nathan Elledge and mother Myrtle (Smelser) Elledge. Friends may call at the London Apostolic Gospel Church, 101 Shady Ave, London on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-7:30 p.m. with the funeral following at 7:30 p.m. with Pastor Mark Schroder officiating. Interment will be at the family's convenience. If they wish, friends may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Ellis, Sharon Kay  
Ellis Sharon Kay Ellis, age 69, of Columbus, died October 21, 2016 at Grant Medical Center. She was born October 27, 1946 in Obetz, Ohio to the late Walton and Odessa Jacob. Preceded in death by her husband Leroy, her twin grandsons Benjamin and Anthony Freshkorn. Kay is survived by her daughters, Jodi Ellis, Rachele (Bill) Freshkorn, Kristen Eckel; grandchildren, Shane, Kalee, Colin, Ashley, David, Seth, Katelyn; great-grandchildren, Ariana, Shane, Ethan, Owen, Benjamin; sister, Barb (Fred) Ambos; brothers, Dean Jacob, Raymond "Jake" Jacob; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Friends may visit 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo Street, Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110 where a funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Ensminger, Dale  
Ensminger Dale Ensminger, age 93, passed away Friday, October 21, 2016. He was born in Mt. Perry, Ohio. He graduated from Somerset High School in the spring of 1941 and went to work in the coal mines. In January 1943, he was drafted into the United States Army where he served for 3 years and earned a bronze star. He was the fourth of four brothers who served in the Army or Army Air Force during World War II, all serving in combat service. Two younger brothers also served in the United States military services. Dale attended the Ohio State University and graduated with bachelors degrees in both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in 1950. He also did some post-graduate studies at OSU between 1950 and 1953. Dale began working at Battelle Memorial Institute in 1948 while still a student at OSU and worked there until his retirement in January, 1988. During his time at Battelle he did active research in ultrasonics and was involved in about 1,000 different projects relating to ultrasonics, acoustics and related areas. He also holds many patents related to these projects. He was a member of the Acoustical Society of America, Ultrasonics Industry Association and the Society for Nondestructive Testing. He was a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio. He was the author of two books, contributed to several more, and published numerous articles on the subject of ultrasonics. He was a long-standing member of Calvary Bible Church where he served many terms as an elder. He was also an active member of the Columbus Prison Association, preaching and ministering in local prisons; the dean and a teacher of the Columbus Bible Institute, a weekly Bible institute held at Calvary Bible Church for more than 40 years; a member of the board of the Fundamental Baptist Mission of Trinidad and Tobago for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Mary Ensminger, four brothers Frederick, Glenn, Clarence and Neil, his first wife Lois Hamilton and his second wife Patricia Curtis and daughter Joyce Hope. He is survived by brothers, Phillip and Lee; and by sisters, Fern Hunt, Juanita Rader and Shirley King; and by children, Martha Taylor, Laura Lee Francis, Charles (Bob), Jonathan, Mary Ann Miller and Daniel; by 30 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. One of his favorite Bible verses was John 14:27, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." Friends may call at SOUTHWICK-GOOD & FORTKAMP FUNERAL CHAPEL, 3100 N. High St., Thursday 3-7 p.m., where funeral will be held Friday 10 a.m. Rev. Thomas Coffman officiating. Interment Union Cemetery.

Ey Richard L. Ey, age 90, Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at his residence. 1944 graduate of St. Charles College Preparatory School. U.S. Marine Corp WWII Veteran. Co-owner of Scholz and Ey Engravers. Avid golfer and sports fan. Preceded in death by wife Lillian DiPaolo Ey, parents Edward and Helen. Survived by children, Rick Ey, Chris Ey, Barbara (J.R.) Notery, Lucinda (Wes) Miller, Andy (Marcy) Ey, CeCe (Jeff) Kanowsky; grandchildren, Rick (Brie) Ey, Caroline and Chloe Ey, Kate, Luci, Joe and Sophia Kanowsky; three great-grandchildren, Isabella, Evelyn and Josephine Ey; sisters, Helen O'Connor, Irene (Pat) Navin; sisters-in-law, Norma O'Neil, Mary DiPaolo and Karen DiPaolo; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
