Abram, Joanne Maria  
Abram Joanne Maria Abram went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 22, 2015. She was born November 9, 1927 to the late William Walker Birkhead and Ida Marie Birkhead of Columbus, Ohio. Joanne is survived by four children, Tom Abram (wife, Sandy Abram) of Frankfort, Denise Patterson (husband, Bob Patterson) of Bainbridge, Valerie Abram and (Tammy Tarr) of Muncie, Indiana, Cindy Darsey (husband, Mike Darsey) of Jacksonville, Florida; ten grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the HALLER FUNERAL HOME. Rev. David Maughmer officiating. Graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, OH. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at Haller's. Ackerman, Meyers Clovis  
Ackerman Meyers Clovis Ackerman, 88, died Friday, April 17, 2015 with family present at Munson Hospice House. Meyers was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Harriet Agnes Ackerman, his mother Alice Irene Walker, his father Meyers C. Ackerman Sr., his brother Daniel F. Kelley and Daniel's son Patrick Kelley, his sister Maxine C. Miller, brother-in-law Dale Miller, son-in-law Lawrence P. Johnson and his Aunt and Uncle Otis and Mary Mead. He is survived by his daughters, Melanie Ackerman (William Stebner) and Roberta A. Walker; his sister-in-law, Vivian Kelley; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Meyers was born January 23, 1927. He grew up in the small, farm town of Mt. Vernon, Ohio where he loved spending summers and working in the fields of his Aunt Mary and Uncle Otis' nearby farm. He also lived in Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio. He honorably served in the U.S. Navy (CBMU #630) Sea Bees, stationed on the island of Okinawa during WWII. To support a family, Meyers began a career in the Weighing Industry. Meyers successfully continued in this field as a salesman, sales manager and design engineer until his retirement. In Columbus, Ohio Meyers met his life-long love, Harriet Streamer. They married December 22, 1950. They lived and raised their family in Columbus and Grand Rapids, and then continued further north to Traverse City. Together, they enjoyed a life time of family gatherings and many celebrations. Rarely idle, Meyers and Harriet shared and enjoyed many hobbies and interests, and now, after a brief pause, resume that togetherness. Meyers, sharing his love of life with many, in return is loved by many. With a kind, genuine heart, a spirit light with laughter, an ever present smile and witty humor he cheered and comforted us all. Friends are welcome to visit with Meyers' family on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. at the REYNOLDS-JONKHOFF FUNERAL HOME, 305 Sixth Street, Traverse City, MI 49684. Right of Committal will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Oakwood Catholic Cemetery, 1325 E. Eighth Street, Traverse City. Rev. Fr. Raymond Cotter will officiate. Military Honors conducted under the auspices of Cherryland V.F.W. Post 2780. Adelman Albert H. Adelman, of Framingham. Entered into rest April 23, 2015 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of the late Myra (Burt) Adelman. Devoted father of Peter Adelman and his wife, Paget Walker of Brooklyn, NY and Karen Adelman and her husband, Robert Foster of Natick, MA. Alain, Anthony Phillip  
Alain Anthony Phillip Alain, age 27, passed away April 18, 2015. He was born February 3, 1988 in Columbus to Nikola and Photini Alain. He is survived by his parents; brother, Gabriel; grandparents, Lakis and Soula Katsambouris; stepmother, Lamees; many other relatives and friends. Anthony was a graduate of Dublin Coffman High School and attended Otterbein University; he loved reading and science. Albert, Terry Gene  
Albert Terry Gene Albert, born February 10, 1948 in Barnesville, OH, peacefully passed away on April 13, 2015 with Hospice services, at Mt. Carmel Medical Center, Columbus, OH. Retired from Frito Lay after 35 years of service. Terry fought a courageous battle with kidney disease, later complicated by a massive stroke. Terry served as a long-time member of Northland Masonic Shrine #4, O.E.A.S. Beacon and White Shrine of Jerusalem. He loved sports, hunting and fishing, and was an honorary member of SE Conservation Club, and Fairfield Fish and Game. He was V.P. of William Penn Local Branch 129. Terry was a member of the Hungarian Cultural Association of the Reformed Hungarian Church, where he loved to cook, regularly assisting in food preparation for Church events and fund raising. He served as Chief Elder and Brotherhood President for over 25 years. Terry is preceded in death by his father Coleman Albert, sister Cheryl (Albert) Mace, and brother Larry Albert. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda Susan Albert, his mother, Eileen; brothers, Bill (Susie) Albert, Michael, and Ronnie Albert; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. The family wishes to thank the Columbus Nephrology Group, especially Dr. Dean Agra, who provided excellent care and encouragement throughout the course of his treatment. Anderson (Umbleby) Janet L. Anderson (Umbleby), age 78, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Janet was a registered nurse who retired from Ohio State School for the Deaf after many years of service. She is preceded in death by parents Mirle and Sarah Umbleby, daughter Nancy Anderson and sister Jo Ann Engler. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Homer "Andy" who retired from Kroger Bakery in 1998. Also surviving her are her son, Jack (Jacqui) Anderson and grandchildren, Owen, Izzy, and Noah Anderson, all of Lancaster, OH; and grandson, Issac (Deonna Reynolds) Anderson; great-granddaughter, Nori Anderson; brother, Howard Umbleby; other family and friends; and special pet dog, "Peaches". Graduate of Westerville High School (Class of 1955) and White Cross Nursing School (1958). Antoine, Geraldine K. "Gerry"  
Antoine Geraldine K. "Gerry" Antoine, age 89, formerly of Delaware, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015 in Crystal Lake, Illinois. Born September 8, 1925 in Falls, PA to the late Peter and Valera (Britton) Kettell. A lifelong educator, she was a teacher for more than 50 years, having taught in public, Christian, home school and even overseas missions schools. The Spanish language was her passion as she not only taught, but also authored multiple Spanish textbooks. Her passion was also for the Lord. Gerry was a leader in the AWANA kids ministry, an alto voice in the Delaware Bible Church choir, and actively involved across several other ministries. For those she knew and loved, she was the constant prayer warrior. She was a faithful supporter of missionaries around the globe. "Graggy," as she was known by her family and too many close friends, lived life with passion. In between her many education and church commitments, she could be found on a sports sideline cheering on grandkids, running a video camera at a special event, hosting the family's holiday meals or trying to master a new computer she had just acquired. She is survived by her children, Casey Moore of McHenry, IL, John Antoine of Delaware; grandchildren, Lance (Danielle), Gabe (Dawn), Luke and Kristen; great-grandchildren, Rylee, Hayden, Peyton, Connor, McKenna, Bella and Carson. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years Carlton Antoine, her sister Carol Wall, and grandson Josh Moore. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the SNYDER-RODMAN FUNERAL CENTER, 1510 W. William St. at Valleyside Dr., Delaware, where service celebrating her life will be held 11 a.m. Thursday. Ayers, Jay R.  
Ayers Jay R. Ayers, 64, passed away at Willow Brook Christian Home on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 after an extended battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Norma Ayers, and his brothers Todd Ayers and Dale Ayers. Jay is survived by his wife of 40 years, Becky; his children, Megan (James) Myers and Michael (Katie) Ayers; his sister, Lisa (John) Reehl; and his grandchild, Thomas. Jay was a graduate of Louisville High School and the University of Akron. After a brief time as a high school science teacher, he joined Ayerst Pharmaceuticals and enjoyed a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry. He retired from Wyeth as a BioPharma Manager with 30 years of experience. His main focus was his family and he was a wonderful father and husband. Baker Deacon Earl T. Baker, Jr., 68, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16, 2015. A graduate of East High School and retired from Columbia Gas after 35 years. Deacon Baker was a faithful servant of the Sigsbee Avenue Church of God where his grandparents the late Elder Edward Bridges and Edna Bridges founded the church. He served in many capacities including, Deacon, Trustee, SS Teacher and Worship Leader.
