Mallon Don Mallon, 76 of Columbus, passed away, surrounded by his loving family at Grant Medical Center on April 22, 2016. Born on August 19, 1939 to the late Ralph and Violet (James) Mallon in Obetz, OH. Retired from Timken's after 34 years and a part time firefighter with Hamilton Township for 27 years. Survived by wife of 50 years, Teresa (Spear) Mallon; children, Greg (Laurie) Mallon, James (Lisa) Moore, Jane (Forrest) Osborne, Roger Moore and Frank (Vickie) Mallon; grandchildren, Jennifer Mallon Gray (Josh), Amy (Jonathan) Seese, Amberly Mallon, Nic (Stacie) Mallon, Ashley Moore and Donald Mallon; great grandchildren, Madison, Hannah, Nathan, Fiona, Nolan, Lilly, Savannah and Kennady; siblings, Janet, Londa, Carl and Carroll; sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law; and a furry friend, Penny. Preceded in death by brother Robert Mallon. Malone, Patty L.  
Malone Patty L. Malone, 77, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. Patty was born in Vinton Co., Ohio on December 31, 1938 to the late Jacob and Edna (Taylor) Malone. Patty graduated from Barnesville High School and moved to Columbus. She worked for Cott Index for 43 years as a Supervisor. She was a member of Alkire Road Church of Christ where she belonged to the Golden Alkires. Patty also enjoyed reading in her spare time. Preceded in death by her parents, siblings George, Cecil, William and John Malone; Dorothy Beck, Beatrice Camp, Peggy Jones and Donna Miller. Survived by her siblings, Donald (Cheryl) Malone, Vera (Hiram) Sells and Norma (Wes) Yohey; sister-in-law, Louise Malone; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A memorial service honoring her life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Alkire Road Church of Christ, 2779 Alkire Rd., Grove City, OH 43123. Marando, Steve  
Marando Steve Marando, 69, of Westerville, passed away at St. Ann's Hospital on April 30, 2016 with his family by his side. Steve was born in Wilmington, Delaware on October 24, 1946 to the late Emilio and Emily (Tooli) Marando. He graduated from Conrad High School. Steve loved motorcycling and boating and lived at Buckeye Lake for 14 years. He also enjoyed OSU and Bengals football, NASCAR, especially a fan of Jeff Gordon. Above all, Steve loved his grandkids and would go anywhere to see them. He belonged to AMVETS Post #51 as a Son's of AMVETS member. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Karen (Beamenderfer) Marando; son, Chris (Christine) Pabst; grandchildren, Jack and Ella Pabst; brother, Mike Marando; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Tommy Marando. Arrangements have been entrusted to SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, where friends may visit from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2016 after which a service will be held at 7 p.m. with Pastor Dave Pennington officiating. Marsico, James F.  
Marsico Dr. James F. Marsico, DDS. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 12:30 p.m., at St. Michael Church, officiated by Father Terrence Hazel, for Dr. James F. Marsico, DDS, 70, of Canfield, who died suddenly Friday evening at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Boardman. Dr. Marsico, affectionately known as "Jim" was born on September 17, 1945 in Warren, son of Vincent and Louise (Protomastro) Marsico. Jim was a 1963 graduate of Ursuline High School. Following high school, Jim enrolled in the Ohio State University, later graduating with a Bachelor of Arts, and then with a doctoral degree from the Ohio State University's College of Dentistry in 1971. Following graduation, he served in both the United States Army and Air Force Dental Corps. He spent his career working as a family dentist in the Mahoning Valley. He loved being active whether it was kayaking on the Youghiogheny River, biking in Hilton Head, or playing with his grandchildren. He was an avid reader and history lover, and he enjoyed exploring new places. Jim was proud of his Italian roots and supported local events such as the Canfield Fourth of July celebration and the Canfield Fair. He was passionate about sports with an unwavering love for the under dog; Notre Dame football and the Cleveland Indians. Raised with a strong Catholic faith, he was devoted to St. Michael parish and had a big heart for those less fortunate. Jim leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Vincent and Louise Marsico of Columbus; his loving wife of nearly 47 years, the former Susan Dodge whom he married on June 7, 1969; daughters, Amy (Nicholas Troccoli) Marsico of New York, Erin (Edward) Kagel of Columbus, and Annie (John Oswalt) Marsico of Columbus; one brother, David (Jana) Marsico of Columbus; grandchildren, Daniel and Elena Kagel; mother-in- law, Norma Dodge of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4-6 p.m. at HIGGINS-REARDON FUNERAL HOMES, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, and again on Thursday morning from 10:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. at the church. Martin, Albert L.  
Martin Albert L. Martin, age 96, of Obetz, died Friday, April 22, 2016 at Monterrey Care Center in Grove City. Born March 10, 1920 in Ashe County, NC to the late Ellis and Biddie Lou (Kemp) Martin. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, was retired from C&O Railroad, and was a member of Obetz Church of the Nazarene. He was known locally as "The Can Man." Survived by his son, Robert W.L. (Sharon) Martin, Sr., Obetz; grandsons, Rob (Angie) Martin, Ashville, Scott (Julie) Martin, Pickerington; great-grandchildren, Wesley, Rachel, Amanda and Megan Martin; sisters-in-law, Faye (Burl) Sharpe, NC, Robin Martin, OR; good friends, Jim and Ginger Shepherd, and Les Konkler; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his wife Opal (Vannoy) Martin in 2008, son Jerry W. Martin and brother Joseph Samuel Martin. Friends may visit 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Martin, Robert D.  
Martin Robert D. Martin, 54, our loving, vibrant, and hilarious husband, dad, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed away on April 21, 2016 after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born on November 15, 1961 in Cincinnati Ohio and grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. Bob graduated from Fairdale High school and attended The Ohio State University. He worked at Harding Hospital early in his career where he met his future wife, Mary. Bob continued his career working in the Department of Psychiatry Schizophrenia Research and Traumatic Brain Injury programs. For the last 20 years, Bob was self-employed with RDM data solutions working for his loyal clients Ballet Met, Union Benefits Trust and the Ohio Civil Services Employees Association. He was preceded in death by his parents Robbie and Susan Martin. Bob is survived by loving wife of 26 years, Mary Lynn; daughters, Allison and Caroline Martin; sister and brother in law, Robin and Matt Childers; brother and sister in law, Tom and Betsy Teti of Pittsburgh; nephews, nieces, and a great niece, numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, friends, and co-workers. He will also be missed by basset hounds, Oliver and Chester and cat, Marty. Bob will be remembered for his warm and unconditional friendship, gregarious humor, and love of adventure. He never wanted to pass up a good concert, and was able to Jet Ski and play with dolphins in the Caribbean just days before his hospitalization. Bob could strike up a conversation with anyone, and was loved by friends with diverse views and backgrounds. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., where a memorial service will be held Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 2 p.m. followed by a luncheon and fellowship. Marx, Joan C. (Paxton)  
Marx Joan C. (Paxton) Marx, age 72, Went Home to be with her angels, daughter Debbie and son Eddie. Joan was born August 9, 1943 and raised in Mansfield, OH, daughter of the late Charles E. and Wilma Jean (Fraley) Paxton. Joni was the owner and operator of Joni's Place, 2280 W. Henderson Rd for fifteen years. Previously, Joni worked as a bartender at Scott's Inn and The Apartment Lounge. She was very proud of her family and loved growing up in Mansfield. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister who will be sorely missed by her daughter, Michelle (Rene) Cardenas of new Albany, OH; grandchildren, including James Jenkins of Colorado; her brother, Roger Lee (Christine) Paxton, of Mansfield; niece and nephews, Chrissy, Scott, Shawn and Tyler; and other relatives. Also survived by her dear friend of several years, Bruno Fiorucci, who provided Joni support and friendship in her last years. Besides her parents, Joni was preceded in death by her daughter Debbie Meyers (1991) and Eddie Marx (2013). She loved people, attending family reunions and vacationing in Anna Marie Island and Sarasota, Florida for many years. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at The James Cancer Hospital for their care. Also a special thank you to nurses Pam and Karen from Hospice and Dr. Shelly Blackburn for their home visits. Mason, Robert Lee  
Mason Robert Lee Mason, 76, of Columbus, Ohio found himself on the "Highway to Heaven" on April 22, 2016. He was born November 25, 1939 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Chauncey and Elsie (Geiger) Mason; also preceded in death by his brother Gene Mason and his first wife of 43 years, Phyllis Mason. Bob remarried in 2005. He and his new bride, Patricia Seaton, were joined in matrimony in a fairy tale wedding that took place in Gallipolis City Park. They enjoyed ten wonderful years together. In addition to his beloved wife Patty, he is survived by his stepsons, Duane (fiancé Vickie Lockridge), John (Tamara Smith) and Kevin Seaton; cousins, extended family, and his puppy (daddy's girl) Brandy. Throughout Bob's life he enjoyed the friendship of many special dogs. He was also a member of the Reynoldsburg F&AM Lodge #340. Most of Bob's life was spent on the "big road" as a trucker, known to many as "St. Bernard". He drove for Coca-Cola for over 30 years and then for Old Dominion. He travelled over 5 million miles with no accidents! Family and friends will gather for Bob's "Farewell Party" on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43232 where services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday. Opening Ceremony will be led by his brother Masons. Degree in Home Economics (1972) and a Masters Degree in 1981. Teacher with New Albany Schools 1972-1975 and Bexley City Schools from 1975-2008. Chairman of the Scholarship Committee of the Ohio Home Economics Association in 1983. Bexley Young Educator of the Year 1989-90. Member of Phi Uplison Omicron Gamma (National Honor Society in Family Consumer Sciences) and the Bexley Women's Club. Survived by husband of 46 years, Robert Masys; sons, Michael and Jonathan; mother, Liddie Forman; siblings, Anna Miller, Denver Forman, Claudette Asgharzadeh, Mike Forman, Linda Forman, Kim Spencer, Randy Forman and April Forman; brothers-in-law, John and Dan Masys; sister-in-law, Paula Labita; many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
