Railsback, David Edward  
Railsback David Edward Railsback, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, July 26, 2015 after a courageous four month battle with cancer. David Edward Railsback was born April 27, 1942, to Donald R. and Martha Price Railsback in Richmond, Indiana, was the senior member of the law firm of Zelkowitz, Barry & Cullers, Ltd, Mount Vernon, Ohio. Railsback was a graduate of Eaton High School, a 1964 graduate of Hanover College, Hanover, Indiana (B. A. Political Science), where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity, participated in the Washington Semester Program at American University in Washington, D.C. for the spring semester in 1963. After earning his baccalaureate degree and before admission to law school, Railsback served on the Washington, D.C. staff of the Honorable William M. McCulloch (R-Piqua), Representative to Congress from the Fourth District of Ohio. Railsback earned the degree of Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University College of Law in December of 1969. Railsback joined Zelkowitz, Barry & Cullers as an associate in December of 1969. Railsback was appointed and then elected to the office of Law Director of the City of Mount Vernon, Ohio and served as Village Solicitor of the Village of Fredericktown and the Village of Danville in Knox County, Ohio. He served as Secretary and Trustee of the Mount Vernon Area Development Foundation, Inc. since 1972 and the Mount Vernon Community Improvement Corporation. Railsback served for six years as a Trustee of The Freedom Center. He formerly served on the Board of Trustees of the Mount Vernon YMCA, and was Trustee of the Mount Vernon YMCA Endowment Fund and Trustee and President of the Mount Vernon Area Chamber of Commerce. In January 1999, Railsback was honored by the Mount Vernon Area Chamber of Commerce as its Volunteer of the Year. Railsback served on the Committee on Legal Ethics and Professional Conduct of the Ohio State Bar Association, appointed to the Committee in 1972 and served the Committee as Secretary and Vice Chairman before serving as Chairman on July 1, 1990 through June 30, 1992. In 1999, Railsback served on the Special Committee for Multi-Disciplinary Practice of Law of the Ohio State Bar Association and was a member of the Selection Committee for the prestigious Eugene R. Weir Award for Professionalism given annually by the Ohio State Bar Association. Railsback, a former member and Chairman of the Law Libraries Committee of the Ohio State Bar Association. Railsback was elected to the Council of Delegates of the Ohio State Bar Association, one of the two governing bodies for the OSBA in 2002. In 2004, Railsback was elected to the Board of Governors of the Ohio State Bar Association serving as Chairman of Budget and Headquarters Committee. Railsback was one of 23 Ohio lawyers responsible for advancing the professional interests of the members of the Ohio State Bar Association. Railsback has served as the legal advisor for the Danville (Ohio) High School Mock Trial Team in school years since 1997. Railsback had served as a member of the Board of Directors of Ariel Corporation, Mount Vernon, Ohio since 1985. Railsback was appointed to the Board of Trustees of The Ohio State University, Newark Campus in July of 1997, serving as Secretary to the Board of Trustees in 1999 and was elected Treasurer and appointed chairman of the finance committee for 2000. In 2002 he was elected to and served as Chairman of the Board from 2002-2003. Railsback had been a registered high school football official (Ohio High School Athletic Association) since 1966 and completed over 39 years of service. He also served as Secretary and Rules Interpreter of the Kokosing Valley Football Officials Association. He was a member of the Mount Vernon Country Club, The Old Homestead Club, The Ohio State University Buckeye Club and President's Club. For the last 44 years, on Ohio State Football Saturdays, Railsback could be found working in the press box at "The Shoe." He is survived by his loving wife, Sue (Stamm); son, David E. Railsback, IV of Dublin, Ohio; daughter, Blythe Flesher of Lewis Center, Ohio; and adored grandchildren, Olivia and Elizabeth Railsback and Joshua and Alexander Flesher. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Martha Railsback and brother Thomas. There will be no calling hours. The family will observe private services. Randall, Stella (Stebelton)  
Randall Stella (Stebelton) Randall, 70, of Fruitland Park, FL and formerly Central Ohio, passed away on June 22, 2015 after a short battle with cancer. She was born on May 13, 1945 in Lancaster, OH to the late Francis and Gertrude. She is survived by her loving husband, John; brother, Butch; and many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, August 8 at 9 a.m. at the St. Mary Catholic Church, 5684 Groveport Rd., Groveport, OH, 43125 followed by burial at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, 1500 S. Broad St., Lancaster, OH, 43130. Following the burial, a reception will be held starting at approximately 11:30 a.m. at the Lancaster Knights of Columbus, 343 E. Walnut St., Lancaster, OH, 43130.

Reed, Ruby A. Clark  
Reed Ruby A. Clark Reed, passed away Monday, July 27, 2015. Preceded in death by her loving husband Bill Reed and beloved daughter Janine Miller. Survived by her son, James; and two daughters, Lisa and Penny along with son-in-law, Jimmy Climer. She will be represented by the families as follows: The Clark Family, the Reed-Climer Family, the Parrett Family, the Miller Family, the Hite Family, the Kraft Family and the Creech Family and all her friends and extended families. A special thank you to Nurse Shiela Whatley and Nurse Anita James for helping us keep her as long as we did. Exceptionally great job. Painless and peacefully she left us in her home, in her bed, surrounded by the ones she loved and now she will be with all of those she has loved before. In her name we well carry on. Reynolds, Jean  
Reynolds Jean Reynolds, 90, of Columbus, passed away Monday, July 27, 2015 at MayFair Village. She was born May 26, 1925 in Cheshire, OH, daughter of the late Leith J. and Lorena Hooper Reynolds. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her sister Alberta King. She retired from the Columbus School System as a teacher with many years of service. Jean was passionate about the Columbus Metro Parks and volunteered for over 25 years. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Todd. Richardson, Ralph Donald  
Richardson Ralph Donald Richardson, 93, of Columbus, died Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Dublin Methodist Hospital. Don was born August 1, 1921 late Ralph and Agnes (Gillespie) Richardson. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was a loving father and grandfather. Don was a machinist by trade and loved to tinker with things. He could fix just about anything he placed in his hands. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Judith Mae Richardson, siblings Arthur, Robert, Gerald Richardson and Thelma Baum. He is survived by his children, Curtis (Sharon), Nancy, Linda, Jeffrey, and Donald (Sarah) Richardson; 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Roby, Robert "Brent"  
Roby Robert "Brent" Roby, 60, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015 after a hard fought battle against cancer. A lifelong resident of Gahanna, he graduated from Gahanna Lincoln in 1973. Brent is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Donna Roby and brother Randall Roby. He is survived by his sister, Monna (Robert) Kracker; sister-in-law, Sherrie Roby; nieces, Brandi (Andy) Helsby, Robyn (Wes) Miller; nephews, Ryan and Scott Roby. Brent loved cars, bargains and especially swap meets, the perfect marriage of both of his hobbies. A longtime member of the Camaro Club, he both showed his own cars and judged competitions for many years. If it had a motor, Brent knew how to fix it. Brent worked for many years at Earl Auto Parts and ADW. In addition to the many loved ones he leaves behind, he was lucky enough to have a group of wonderful longtime neighbors and friends in the community for whose support he was very thankful. Rock, Gina L.  
Rock Gina L. Rock, age 60, died at home on Friday, July 31, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was born December 31, 1954 in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Cyril and Rose Laratta. Gina graduated from Ohio University and worked as a Speech Therapist in the Columbus City Schools for 35 years. She was a member of St Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and she was involved in the Sharon Houghton Rosary Group. Gina especially loved taking care of her family and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Craig Rock; sons, Chris and Cameron Rock; step-children, Craig Rock, Jr. and Rosie Rock Rodgers (Chad); grandson, Grayson; and brother, Larry Laratta. Roll Judy G. Roll, 72, passed away July 25, 2015. She was preceded in death by parents Gaylord and Merle Smith. Judy is survived by husband of 24 years, Greg; daughters, Kim (Steve) Dorsey and Kristi (Matt) Harrison; grandchildren, Brandon and Ryan Dorsey, Nichole (Guy) Harrison Ditri; great-grandson, Logan Harrison; and furry companion, Hank. Root, June Ezzo  
Root June Ezzo Root, age 89, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2015. She was born in Columbus, OH on August 13, 1925, and grew up on West Lane Avenue. Her childhood home was across the street from what is now Drackett Tower at The Ohio State University. She graduated from North High School and then earned her BS in Education from The Ohio State University. She met the love of her life, Bill, when his family moved nearby, and began a journey together that lasted over 70 years. Her career as a teacher touched lives of children in Mt. Vernon, Akron, and Northfield, among others. She was an active volunteer at Akron General Hospital, the Board of Elections, and as a scorekeeper at the American Golf Classic at Firestone Country Club in Akron, OH. Her primary devotion was to her family, she also enjoyed entertaining, Buckeye football, and celebrating holidays. She was always welcoming and always laughing. She was preceded in death by Bill, her loving husband of 68 years, her brother Melvin Ezzo, and her sister Carolyn Sprague. She is survived by her sons, Bill (Tina), Jim (Lynda), and David; grandchildren, Michael (Lyndsay), Lisa (Brandon) Lowe, Brian (Rachel), David (Jessica), Erin and Amy; and three great-grandchildren, Jackson, Nolan, and Ava. She will be greatly missed.
