Rakes Beatrice Watts Rakes, age 87, better known as "Mrs. Bea" or "Sister Rakes", went home to the Lord Friday, June 19, 2015 at her residence. Born November 13, 1927 in Bluefield, WV, she was predeceased by her loving husband Edward "June" Rakes, known as "Poor Ed", her son Virgil Rakes, grandson Howard Rakes, parents King Virgil Watts and Mary Grace Watts, loving aunt Annie Martin, and sister Annelle Norman. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Patricia (Larry) Stephens, Sr., Walter (Stephanie) Rakes, Youlandia (rest in peace, Dennis) Peake, Edward (Valerie) Rakes, Tyrone (June) Rakes and Hiawatha Rakes; loving siblings, Molly (Bishop Fred) Marshall and Claudis (Joan) Watts. Known as "Granny", Mrs. Rakes leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Homegoing service 10 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the God's Grace Deliverance Church, 175 Fairway Blvd., Whitehall, OH 43213. Bishop Seaborn Bishop, officiating. Rardon Jerry E. Rardon, age 79, of Westerville, OH, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015. Employed by Zane Casket Co. Survived by children, Michael J. (Lorie) Rardon of Delaware, Michelle (Arthur) Buentello of Marysville and Daniel (Julie) Rardon of Greencastle, PA; grandchildren, Bryan, Scott and Matthew, and Jacob; sister, Judy Rardon; brother, Jeffrey (Karen) Rardon; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by Sue Conaway, parents Edward and Lucile Rardon. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Reese Bonnie B. Reese, 62, of Hilliard, OH, passed away on June 22, 2015. She was born on September 21, 1952. She was preceded in death by her parents Harlton Hawk and Florence Hawk Carter. Surviving family includes husband, James; children, Tracy (Thomas) Haywood, Carrie "Shelly" (Daniel) Brown, Crystal (Ryan) Cashdollar, Leslie (Stephen) Switzer; step-children, Lisa (Steve) Amerson, Justin (Nicole) Reese, Jeanine Reese; siblings, Gary Hawk, Lee Hawk, Raymond Hawk, Harlton Hawk; grandchildren, Corey, Brandon, Taylor, Blake, Katee, Cameron, Nathan, Sha, Ethan, Whitney, Addison, Alexis, Lauren, Kaylyn, Caitlyn and Kyleigh. Her children and grandchildren were her world. She was dedicated to her career. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2015 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Reeves, Charles W. "Bill"  
Reeves Charles "Bill" W. Reeves, 88, of Pomeroy, Ohio, died Sunday June 7, 2015 at his residence. Born September 17, 1926 in New Town, Ohio, he was the son of the late Dewey and Lena Nunnimaker Reeves. Charles was enlisted in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Timken Roller Bearing in Columbus. Bill was a member of the Middleport `American Legion Post 128. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, all sports activities and watching his great granddaughters play softball. He was a father figure for many who knew him as Uncle Bill and Pops. Mr. Reeves never had a bad word to say about anyone. He is survived by a son, Randy Reeves of Pomeroy; a daughter, Kathie Reeves (Mike McKnight) of Monticello, Florida; one grandson, Shane (Becky) McKnight; one granddaughter, Amy (Sammy) Rivera; six great grandchildren, Whitney and Taylor McKnight, Mariah, Kataleena, Amanda, and Chari Rivera; one great-great grandson, Christian; close friend and sister-in-law, Bonnie Criner; and a host of nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara "Jane" Chandler Reeves and two sisters. Graveside military service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Cherry Ridge Cemetery. Services are by the EWING-SCHWARZEL FUNERAL HOME in Pomeroy. Riddle Louise Goss Riddle, age 83, passed away June 21, 2015. Member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Louise was a real estate broker and antique dealer. Following retirement she was an avid antique enthusiast "Always interested in buying." Preceded in death by parents Gaylord and Helen Osborne, husbands Jim Goss and Bob Riddle, baby Elizabeth, and sister Sue. Survived by children, Debi Davidson, Jill (Keith) Gonzales, Jim (Donna) Goss and Tom Goss; siblings, Gale Osborne, Kathryn Allan and Becca Osborne; eight grandchildren, one great grandchild and three great great grandchildren, along with many loving relatives and friends.
