Calvert Ian Calvert, aged 53, was tragically taken from us early Wednesday morning on April 16, 2014. Ian was a bon vivant, traveling the world and bringing those experiences home to his friends and family, he lived life to the fullest, and enriched all of us who were blessed to know him. Professionally, he worked in banking, most recently at Fifth-Third, and JPMorganChase in senior IT roles, and was a valued and respected colleague. While he loved work, he loved life and took advantage of every opportunity to share a glass, a story, or a joke. An enthusiast in many things, he shared his love of all things British, including libations, his English-made cars and motorbike. But all of his interests were intended to connect with us. As genuine a person you can ever come to know, his manner and mannerisms succeeded in reducing the burdens of life for his friends and loved ones and his manner in doing so was second-to-none. He loved Ann Marie most deeply and those who knew him were the fortunate ones. Ian was a genuine friend; extremely skilled and accomplished in many aspects of his life. He leaves a legacy imprinted upon all the hearts he has touched, and all the hearts and minds of so many people who spanned the globe. His joy for life, unbridled and moving, grew from believing in friendship above all else. Ian is survived by Ann Marie McDonnell; brother, Graham Nutt; sister-in-law, Julia Nutt; and their children, Laura, James and Leanne; sister, Carolyn Davies; brother-in-law, Mei Davies; and their children, Stephen and Amelia; brother, Nigel Nutt, and the rest of us. Friends may call Friday 5-7 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. until 12 noon at the EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 E. BROAD ST. where the FUNERAL SERVICE will be Saturday 12 noon. www.egan-ryan.com /about/directions.php Donations in lieu of flowers, may be made to the ASPCA ( http://www.aspca.org/donate ) and Public Radio Station WOSU ( http://wosu.org ).
