Vollberg, Edward G.  
Vollberg Edward G. Vollberg, 70, of Columbus, formerly of East Liverpool, passed away suddenly Friday, May 1, 2015 at his home. He was born September 15, 1944 to Gladys C. Volk and the late Edward L. Vollberg. In addition to his father, Ed is preceded in death by his son Edward Phillip Vollberg and brother Thomas G. Vollberg. He is survived by his mother, Gladys; daughter, Lori Guy, East Palestine, Oh; sister, Carol A. (Paul) Gydosh, Powell, OH; grandchildren, Schaelee and Sela; and sister-in-law, Diane Vollberg; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Ed served as Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, receiving three Purple Hearts, among many other honors in service to his country. He continued to live the Marine Corps principles throughout his life and in his career as a well-known building contractor. He was dedicated to his family, sharp and quick-witted with an always-ready joke-a testament to the creative, inventive and loyal person he was. Calling hours 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6600 N. High Street. Additionally, calling hours 3-7 p.m. Thursday at the Dawson Funeral Home East Liverpool, OH. A funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, East Liverpool, OH. Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park in East Liverpool OH. Waltermire, Lynn Rising (Outhwaite)  
Waltermire Lynn Rising (Outhwaite) Waltermire, 70, of Delaware, passed away unexpectedly Friday afternoon May 1, 2015 at her residence. She was born September 15, 1944 in Santa Fe, New Mexico to the late Ogden Peabody Outhwaite and Jane Morton (Lupher) Outhwaite. Lynn was a financial planner with R. L. Williams in Columbus and she attended Sky Farm Church. She was an avid gardener and a member of the Worthington Hills Garden Club. She also served as docent for the Columbus Museum of Art. Lynn loved helping children and volunteered in the Worthington and Marysville schools in the reading programs as well as being involved with various sports booster clubs when her sons were active in the Worthington City Schools. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling, entertaining and helping people in need. She was a "mother to all". Left to cherish her memory are sons, Brian Waltermire of Manhattan, New York and Erik Waltermire of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; step son, Erin (Kristen) Dutton of Manhattan, New York; step daughter, Aimee Dutton of Columbus; granddaughter, Shea Dutton; and brother, Peter Outhwaite of Grand Junction, Colorado. The family will host a Celebration of Life gathering on Friday, May 8 from 2-6 p.m. at Lynn's home, 2209 Stratford Road, Delaware, OH 43015. Weaver, Mary A.  
Weaver Mary A. Weaver, 80, of Orient, passed on May 4, 2015. She was born February 5, 1935 in Athens to Earl and Lydia Sykes who preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her husband Joseph Weaver. Survivors include a son, Joseph Weaver; and daughter, Veronica Roederer; grandchildren, Joseph, Amy, Dwight Joseph, Samuel; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Rukah, Alexandra, Rowan; brother, George (Dolly) Sykes; numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Friday, May 8, 2015 at Jefferson Cemetery, 870 Reynoldsburg New Albany Road, Blacklick, OH 43004 with Pastor Darrell Kelly officiating. Welch, Norma J.  
Welch Norma J. Welch, age 85, of Columbus, went Home on May 4, 2015. She is preceded in death by husband Ensil Welch, mother Thelma Baldeser, brothers Chester and Robert McKee. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Cynthia Welch of Florida; grandchildren, Michelle "Shelly" Zehme, John Welch, Nathaneal Johnson, and Ryan Knapp; two great-grandsons, Nicholas Zehme and Caleb Welch; many nieces and nephews. White, Robert "Bob"  
White Robert "Bob" White, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Mary White, his wife of 63 years, Margaret, and his son Stephen. He was born in Montreal, Canada in 1925 and served in World War II in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Bob received Bachelors and Masters degrees from Mount Allison University, Sackville, New Brunswick Canada and a PhD in Chemistry from Western University, London Ontario Canada. Following several years at the Pesticide Research Institute of Canada, he moved to Columbus, Ohio and worked for Chemical Abstract Services for over forty years. He was an avid traveler, photographer, and hockey fan. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy (Stephen) Miller; son, John White; grandsons, Michael Kincaid, Rob (Kathy) Kincaid, and Matthias White; great grandchildren, Kellen Kincaid, Maddie Kincaid, Elliott Kincaid, Kassidy Brant, and Matthias White Jr. At his request, there will be no visitation. A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Donations in his name to Nationwide Children's Hospital would be welcomed and greatly appreciated.

Wood Sharon Wood, 65, passed away on May 2, 2015. She was born on December 7, 1949. She was preceded in death by her father John W. Thompson and brother Robert Thompson. Surviving family includes mother, Pearl V. Thompson; children, Kimberly (Christopher) Harris, Myra (Amber) Mills, Steve (Holly) Albaugh; grandchildren, Aarika Harris, Jordan Harris, Brooklyn Harris, Taylor Albaugh, Mason Albaugh; siblings, Diana Cogdill, Patricia Morris (Golden Girls), Christine Hamilton, Debbie Schoenberger, John Thompson Jr., Terry Thompson; and many nieces and nephews and an abundance of friends. Our mom was a very strong, courageous and selfless person even in passing by giving the gift of life. The family requests that you wear bright colored clothing in honor of Sharon. Wood Jr., William Phillip  
Wood William Phillip Wood, Jr., age 67, passed away on May 4, 2015. He was born May 9, 1947 to William and Mildred Wood in Columbus. He was a proud 1965 graduate of Bishop Hartley High School. He received his Bachelor's degree from Ohio Dominican College in 1969, where he was a member of the first men's basketball team. He received his Master's of Education from The Ohio State University. Bill began his career as an educator and coach throughout many central Ohio area high schools, including Groveport Madison (1969-1971), Bishop Watterson (1971-1972), Father Wehrle (1972-1975), Grandview (1975-1977) and Teays Valley (1977-1980). Following a successful teaching career, he worked as an independent agent for Nationwide Insurance Company until his retirement in 2011. He attained the status of Eagle Scout through the Boy Scouts of America, was a member of The Ohio State University Alumni Association, was a supporter of many Veterans' organizations, and a strong community philanthropist for multiple foundations. Preceded in death by father William Phillip Wood (1962), mother Mildred (Roehrenbeck) Wood (2005), stepfather Harold Glass (2010), brothers John W. (2010) and Richard G. (2014). Survived by wife, Penny (Melvin) Wood; sister, Lesa Gruesen (John); stepbrother, Steven Glass; sister-in-law, Robin Makarius (Don); daughter, Yvette "Mimi" LaValle (Michael); son, Brian (Beth); and stepson, John Williams (Jeanne); nieces, Amanda Wood, Jessica Wood Wilkerson, Bethany Kauffman and Moriah Weber; nephews, Michael Gruesen, Kevin Gruesen, Jordan Makarius; and grandchildren, Ian Schwartz, Keegan Williams, Vincent LaValle, and the upcoming arrival of Mason Phillip Wood. Worbs, Norma L.  
Worbs Norma L. Worbs, 85, of Gahanna, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015. Norma was born in Chauncy, OH to Fred and Carrie (Leffler) Ross and is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 52 years, William G. Worbs, daughter Jenifer Lee Dabbs, two brothers, four sisters and close friend Glenita Locke. Norma is survived by her son, Jeff (Lisa) Worbs; brother, Paul (Shirley) Ross; grandchildren, Ryan (Elizabeth Michaelis) Worbs, Katy (Anthony) Woltz, Ashton Poore, Auston Poore; great-grandson, Spencer Woltz; a host of nieces, nephews and many friends. Norma worked for Ohio Bell and the Westerville Schools. She was actively involved at New Horizons Community Church including teaching and sending out cards. Norma was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grand Nanny. Her hobbies included reading, watching OSU sports and old movies, listening to Gospel music, bird watching, and gardening. A Graveside Inurnment will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015, 10 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 East Broad Street, Columbus, OH . In addition, A Celebration of Life Luncheon will be held immediately following at her church located at 2100 Reynoldsburg-New Albany Road, Blacklick, OH 43004. Wright, Suzanne Judith  
Wright Suzanne Judith Wright, age 74, of Grove City, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. at Winchester Place Nursing Home and Rehab Center of Canal Winchester. She was born February 17, 1941 in Columbus, Ohio to Charles and Irma Smith Lynch. She was a 1959 graduate of Bexley High School and had attended the Ohio State University for two years. She retired from the State of Ohio with the Department of Telecommunications. She had attended the Bexley United Methodist Church and was an avid bingo player. Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roy Wright and nephew Jim Lynch. Survivors include her children, Joe Schlared of Westerville and John (Amy) Schlared of Carroll; Roy's children, Terri Puckett, Dwayne Wright, Blaine Wright and Dean Wright; grandchildren, Lindsey, Jonathan and Nathan, all of Trenton, Missouri; brother, Charles (Virginia) Lynch; nephews, Steve, Scott and Eric Lynch. The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the SUMMERS FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Dennis Barnhart officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery.
