Amber Eileen Willmore

Willmore Amber Eileen Willmore, 87 of Westerville passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013. She was born October 27, 1925 in New Kensington, PA to Amber (Conner) Ruppel and Charles O. Ruppel. She was a longtime active member of First Presbyterian Church, Westerville, Columbus Symphony Chorus, Westerville Song Spinners and her church choir. She was a volunteer for many years for the Red Cross Bloodmobile and St. Ann's Hospital. She retired from Huntington Bank where she worked the Drive-Thru window during the late 60's to the early 80's, when she retired. Eileen was a friendly, outgoing, and loving person who cherished her family and friends. She loved flowers and gardening and was an avid Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State fan. Eileen and Jim enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. and Europe. She loved opera, classical music and Broadway show tunes. She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James A. and son, James A. "Jay" Jr. Survived by sons, Chris and Bruce (Jane) Willmore; grandchildren, Meghan, Jason, Erin, Andy and Jessica; daughter-in-law, Sandy Willmore. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Friday at HILL FUNERAL HOME, 220 S. State St., Westerville and 10-11 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, 41 W. College where service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. Rev. Mark Gauen officiating. Entombment Northlawn Memory Gardens. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in her memory to the First Presbyterian Church Music Program or Scholarship Fund.
