Burgert Barry James Burgert, age 59, of Upper Arlington, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 8, 1954 and graduated from Upper Arlington High School Class of '72, where he played varsity basketball and baseball. He received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from The Ohio State University
in 1979. Barry was a Regional Sales Manager for Scott's Miracle-Gro for 23 years before retiring. He was an avid Buckeye Sports fan and loved the Chicago Bears. He was a strong man of Christian faith and was always caring towards others and nature. He will be deeply missed. Barry was preceded in death by his father William Burgert and beloved black lab, Osmo. He is survived by his eternal love and soul mate, Becky Burroughs; mother, Lorraine Burgert; daughters, Erin (Andy) Reinhart and Kylie (Kyle) Cox; grandchildren, Christian and Caitlyn Johnson and Ames Kemper Cox; siblings, Kent (Joan) Burgert and Lisa Burgert Thomas; many nieces, nephews, extended family and many dear friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 4 p.m. at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger RD., where the family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until the time of service.
