Dee Cameron

Cameron Dee Cameron, age 75, of Powell, formerly of Upper Arlington, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013. Dee was born in Pinckneyville, Illinois and grew up primarily in Flushing, Ohio, daughter of the late Howard A. and Hulda Singer. Also preceded in death by her husband Dr. James Clyde Cameron, Jr. daughter Deborah Lee Fisher and sister Madonna Niemiec Wieman. She was a very caring, strong, determined, and generous woman. She was a longtime active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. She was also past president and treasurer of Church Women United. Dee founded The Ohio State University Mother's Club and later played an integral role in evolving that organization into the Ohio State University Parent Association. Dee was an active woman who loved volunteering and was always available to help and counsel loved ones in need. She will be greatly missed by her loving and devoted son, James Todd Cameron; sister, Shirley Smith; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd. and also from 10-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2070 Ridgecliff Rd. where a funeral service will begin at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at the Dublin Cemetery.
