Dorothy Lucile Kidner

Kidner Dorothy Lucile Kidner, 92, died at peace on May 5, 2013 at Worthington Christian Village. Dorothy was born on February 26, 1921 in Findlay, Ohio to the late Harry and Frieda (Moser) Kiene. Dorothy was married to her first husband, Dale R. Summers from 1941 until he died in 1961. She then met Gilbert A. Kidner and they were happily married from 1967 until his death in 2005. Always positive and friendly, she was a joy to be with, making many friends along the way. She was a gracious host, loved puppies, enjoyed making a beautiful home, and was a devout Christian all of her life. Dorothy was retired from Bank One. She was an active member of the Worthington Christian Village community since 1995 and longtime member of Grace Brethren Church, Worthington, Ohio. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her daughter Vilia Dee Summers, sister Betty Makey, step-father Leo Lehman, brothers-in-law Miller Makey and Joseph Eckert. She is survived by her sister, Carolyn Eckert; nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her step-children, Keith (Eileen) Kidner, Mary Sue (Ralph) Landers, and Margaret Lephart; grandchildren, Christopher (Tina) Lephart, Ryan (Eilyn) Lephart, Helen Kidner, Ian Kidner, Trina Mays, Adrian Landers and Joshua Landers; great-grandchildren, Adrianna, Sariah and Monica Landers, Hailey and Elijah Lephart, Yeilyn Rodriguez and Alexander Lephart. A Funeral Service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2013 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085, where friends may call from 2-4 p.m. Sunday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Employee's Fund or the Benevolent Fund, Worthington Christian Village, 165 Highbluffs Blvd., Columbus, Ohio 43235.
