Elizabeth M. Snider

Snider Elizabeth M. Snider, age 69, of Columbus, passed away Monday, April 7, 2014. Elizabeth was born and raised in Wilmington, Ohio, daughter of the late Morris A. and Ruth M. Snider. Also preceded in death by her brother-in-law Richard Klever. Elizabeth received a B.S. degree in Biology from Wilmington College and a Masters in Library Science from Indiana University. She retired from Chemical Abstracts Services where she worked as an Acquisitions Librarian for 30 years. Elizabeth was a member of Mountview Christian Church where she was a former pianist, organist, choir member and bell choir director. She also served in a number of different church offices and activities over the years. In addition, Elizabeth also performed in a 5 octave bell choir at Covenant Presbyterian Church for 18 years. Elizabeth was a lover of music and purchased season tickets for the Columbus Symphony for many years and volunteered as a member of the Columbus Opera Supers Guild. She was also an excellent seamstress and often made her own clothes. She will be greatly missed by her sister, M. Catherine Klever; niece, Mary Ann (Larry) Ebert and their children, Larry, Emily, and Michael; nephew, Douglas (Connie) Klever and their children, Brian, Eric, and Abigail; and many other colleagues and dear friends. Per Elizabeth's request, there will be no calling hours, funeral service or memorial. The family will be having a private graveside service. Arrangements by SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL. In lieu of flowers, to honor Elizabeth's appreciation of music, she requested that folks support a local musical group by attending a performance or making a contribution.
