Evelyn A. Watts(1920 - 2013)

Watts Evelyn A. Watts, 93, of Blacklick, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 following a brief illness. She was born April 1, 1920 in Crooksville, the daughter of the late James E. and Stella D. (Allen) McGuire. She was a retired school teacher, and active member of the Reynoldsburg UM Church. Evelyn was the former Choir director at Faith UM Church in Newark and a noted soloist with the Golden Clefs singing group. She is survived by her loving family, daughter, Kathleen (Bruce) Ashcraft of Pataskala; son, Mark (Cynthia) Watts of Auburn, N.H.; grandchildren, Alan (Emily) Ashcraft, Christina (Jason) Dotson, Aaron (Mandy) Watts, Nathan Ashcraft, David Watts, and Ann (Jonathan) Kesler; and her eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and a brother. Friends may call on Sunday, September 22, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church, where funeral services celebrating her life will follow on Monday, September 23, 2013 at 10 a.m. Evelyn will be laid to rest next to her husband in Crooksville Cemetery.
