Larry Alan Crabtree(1953 - 2014)

Crabtree Larry Alan Crabtree, age 60, of Columbus, formerly of Chillicothe, ran his victory lap and finished the race on Monday, February 24, 2014. He was born December 11, 1953 in Chillicothe, OH to the late Mr. and Mrs. Norman G. Crabtree. Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a long-time member of Vineyard Columbus Church and was a faithful Christian man who enjoyed sharing his testimony with others and helping in any way he could. Larry was also an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and yearly camping trips with his family, whom he cherished. He was a Research Chemist for the past 38 years and worked for Ashland Corporation. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Lugene (Adler); children, Jesse Aaron (Shealan) Crabtree and their children, Matthew, Chloe, Kaleb, and soon to be born, Declan Crabtree; Kyle Ellen (Jerry) Steinbrook and their children, Matthew and Marc; Jacob Andrew (Amanda) Crabtree and their children, Aiden and Annabelle; Rebekah Grace (fiance', Ryan Krider) Crabtree; sister, Norma Behmer; special friends, Cletis and Billie Stifler and Dave Felty; extended family and friends. A special thank you is extended to friends and the Kobacker house for their wonderful care and support. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the VINEYARD CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP CHURCH, 6000 Cooper Rd., Westerville, OH, where funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2014.
