Nina Bennett

Bennett Nina Bennett, 89, long-time resident of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully at the Stuart Community Care Center in Stuart, Iowa on Tuesday, December 10, 2013. Nina was born on February 2, 1924 in Wellston, Ohio, the daughter of George and Viola (Sinnott) Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Laura (Terry) Myers; sisters, Linda (Dan) Mahoney and Kay Goodwillie; grandchildren, Denise Myers, Pam Bennett and Cara (Mark) Purdy; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Olivia, Tyler, Alexander, Jordan, Kaitlyn, Javier, and Gabriella; and great-great-grandchildren, Aiden and Lillyonna. Nina was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Aubrey "Buck" Bennett, her sons Garry and David Bennett and sisters Annette Ault and Jean Byerly. Nina was an ordained minister and served her Lord and her community through the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ as well as being a leader in Girl Scouts, an avid poll worker, and committed employee of the Reynoldsburg newspaper. She was best known for her love of everyone around her, her quick wit, and her delightful smile. Many Christmas trees are adorned by the hand-crafted ornaments that she made every year as long as she was able. Please join Nina's family and friends for a celebration of her life on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ, 840 Rosehill Road, Reynoldsburg, Ohio. She will be interred with her loving husband in the Spring. A separate service will be conducted at that time.
