Wayne R. Hasson Sr.

HASSON Wayne R. Hasson Sr., born July 13, 1925 in Columbus, Ohio to the departed Ellis and Jenny Hasson. Wayne went to join his beloved wife Peggy in Heaven on December 3, 2012. They had a special love for 67 years. Wayne had proudly served his country during World War II in the US Navy. Wayne was a very devoted and hard working family man that would do everything in his power to help anyone. Wayne was truly unique and one who never met a stranger. He retired from Rockwell-Boeing, but continued to work until also retiring from Lane Aviation. He made and built many things, from a birdhouse to a boat, and would fix anything broken. He was a wonderful man survived by seven children, Dianne (Dan) Cox, Wayne (Anne), Mike (Kathy), Scott, Mary (Bob) Gasman, Andy and Brian (Page); 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Bob; and sisters, Yvonne Zufall, Frances Gale, Marilyn Eichensehr, Arleen Merringer; also many nieces and nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by brothers Kirk and Jim and sister Jane Hoover. A memorial service will be held at Franklin United Brethren Church, 7171 Central College Rd., New Albany, OH on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Mike Brown officiating.
