I am so sorry to hear about Dave. I learned of his passing while trying to track him down to say hello. Dave, Bart Zeller and myself were roommates and teammates in Brunswick Ga., and Winnipeg Canada in 1963. He was a great guy and a terrific competitor. Ed [email protected]

Dave was a great source of pride for the Dublin community . . . and to us old timers, still is! He was larger than life to an 8 year old kid who watched him take our baseball team into the state championship game. And a little more than a year later, getting to see him pitch on national television was nothing short of incredible. Thanks for the memories . . . the entire DHS community shares in your loss.

Dave was a classmate and friend. While the rest of us were goofing off, Dave was perfecting his fast ball. I'm so sorry he didn't come to our reunion last year; it would have been wonderful to see him. Rest in peace, my friend.

I was a terrible baseball player and never talented enough to make the varsity team. But I watched David bring a whole new energy to Dublin High School and the possibility of taking Coach Close and the school to the state finals. Those were exciting days. Thanks David for the memories.

Uncle Dave was a great person that I wish I had seen more in the recent years. I remember him teaching me a lot about playing cards at the family visits. He always made it a great time along with Santa calls to our children. My families deepest sympathy goes to Aunt Kay. With Love,

We are so very sorry to hear the sad news. Dave was a bigger-than-life hero to all of us who grew up in Dublin in the 60's. He set the bar very high for any kids who wanted to excel in something they loved. Please accept our sympathy and know that others are holding your family in their hearts and prayers at this time.

Kay I was shocked to see Dave passed away, just saw him at our baseball reunion, there was a time that we were very close playing ball since we were in little league, our lives went different direction's, and we lost contact, but I will always have have fond memories of him Buck and Joe-so sorry

We share our deepest sympathy with Aunt Kay. We were just discussing those "Santa Claus" calls with Kelli and Michael recently. They were the highlight of their Christmases. Uncle Dave was one of kind, and we will all miss him very much. With much love and hugs, Johnny, Kerrie, Kelli & Ryan and Michael.
