Another year has gone by. Received a reminder email of my friend´s passing so long ago. I met him at Tenn-Ohio as I was a sales rep for a nut and bolt company. He was friendly and always kind. Still remember one of our last visits together, he had me follow him to his car, he fired up a cd and mic and sang a beautiful rendition of Elvis´ `Blue Christmas´ (it was December!) Now I think of him every time I hear that played. I´m glad I get these reminders of him each year. He is not forgotten. What a wonderful, kind man. I hope we see each other again one day in Gods Kingdom. I´ll ask him for another song and share joyful tears at our reunion. Until then, My Friend.

I cut Don's obituary out of the paper a few weeks ago and am sorry it took me so long to write something.
I met Don when I was an outside sales rep for a nut and bolt company and he was at Tenn-Ohio. He was always so friendly and quick to tell me a joke or a story. He spoke so fondly of his family when we talked.
I'll always remember one Christmas I was in the parts room taking an order and he said "Come here, I want to show you something", and he took me out to his van, fired up his Karaoke machine and sang "Blue Christmas" as "Elvis". It made my day, heck it made my month. I STILL talk about it!
I am so sorry to hear of his death, but I'm SURE you're comforted by all the well wishes coming your way, and all the ways he touched so many people's lives, making them smile!
He won't be forgotten! (Even by strangers like me that haven't seen him in 10 or 12 years.) No one will be able to top Don's "Blue Christmas"! (and I think of him EVERY time I hear it now!)

Well Uncle Donald, I have always heard that once someone passes that you know, that you really start to think about how you spent more time with them. I only got to be in your presence for a short time but I really loved watching the way you carry yourself. I hope that one day some one will say the same thing about me that I am about to and have always said about you. "You are truly one of the best, nicest, caring, coolest older guys that I have ever met." I am sitting here now as I have been since I heard the news, I am thinking ....I really wish I spent more time with you, I really would have loved to get to know you better and would have loved to learn from you. You will be greatly missed. I love you Uncle Donald. Your Nephew, Matthew Bault
