Barbara Jean (Packard) Millirons Obituary
Millirons Barbara Jean (Packard) Millirons, born April 5, 1936, to Robert and Dolores (Hipsher) Packard, passed away in Tiffin, OH surrounded by her family on November 4, 2013. She married John "Jack" Millirons on July 4, 1958, who preceded her in death on September 26, 2013. Barbara graduated from Rushville High School in 1954 and attended Capital University. She was also preceded in death by her parents, step-mother Virginia Packard, step-father Dale Rader and sister Joan. She retired in 1991 from Countrymark in the Treasurer's office. She was a past member of the Old Trails Chapter of DAC, and Ann Simpson Davis Chapter of DAR. Barbara also served as PTA President, Campfire Girls and Girl Scout leader, as a Den Mother in Cub Scouts, and Sunday School teacher. She was also a local and state officer in other community organizations. She is survived by daughters, Ann White (Doug Stonerock) of Stoutsville, Linda DeVaughn of Tiffin; and sons, James of Columbus, and Mark (Julie) of Georgia; nine grandchildren, and five great grandchildren; brothers, Ron (Carole) Packard of Baltimore, OH, Phillip (Sue) Packard of Delaware, OH, Thomas (Jan) Packard of Texas, David (Diane) of Worthington; and sister, Margaret (Roy) Vanatta of Ostrander; and numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara enjoyed her family and genealogy and participation in service organizations along with being a long-time plasma donor. Barbara and Jack were founding members of St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Columbus. A private family service will be held and she will be cremated and inurned at a later date at Green Summit Cemetery, Adelphi, Ohio. The family would like to express its appreciation for the professional and loving care given by the staff of St. Francis Nursing Home and Stein Hospice.
